Harry not honouring Tyler Perry. Why?

Sunblessed · 26/11/2024 14:00

Way back in July, it was announced that Harry and Meghan are tribute chairs for Tyler Perry and the award he will receive at the Paley honours Gala on December 4th. See

https://people.com/meghan-markle-prince-harry-celebrate-tyler-perry-paley-honor-8679521

Now we are told, even though Tyler has helped his family over the years and is his daughter’s godfather, that Harry won’t be attending the gala even though he is on the hosting committee. Instead Meghan will be on her own? See

https://people.com/meghan-markle-prince-harry-attend-events-on-same-day-next-week-but-on-different-coasts-8751500

Why? It makes no sense. I understand that their work takes them different places but this is something they are both involved in. Harry is off to a book conference that just so happens to be on the 4th December, all the way in NY.

He was a chair of the committee and he doesn’t bother to show up? That’s really poor taste, for a man that has done so much for him.

It’s also just adding unnecessary fuel to fire that all is not well with their marriage. This is an event that they should be doing together, instead Meghan will be left to the red carpet on her own. If he didn’t want to be part of it, why did he join the hosting committee, if he never intended to host?

As I always point out Harold's still costing us millions.

We're subbing his court costs, paying for his multi vehicle cavalcades and bringing his circus to town.

While he's still rooting at the public trough I'll be bothered as much as I like.

I personally hope that his case is a success.

Murdoch subverts democracy and uses the justice system to get away with it. His financial power means he can ruin anyone who tries to stand up to him.

He has picked off every one of the 40 plus complainants in this case, including Dame Lawerence. In so doing he denies her a day in court. The same with Lilly Dowlers parents and all the other victims.

In the US he/Fox News had to pay just under 800 million dollars to Dominion Voting Systems for promoting the idea that the election was stolen, and whipping up a coup d'etat to help Donald Trump stay in the Whitehouse.

No matter how much you hate PH, he seems to be the only one who won't blink. This could destroy him. But, if he wins, it is a win for us too.

That’s your interpretation of events, highly influenced by tabloid rhetoric. Not everyone sees it the same way.

Families are complicated and there is rarely a situation where one side of a dispute is 100% right and the other side 100 % wrong.

A lot of what the RF does appears to be extremely dodgy to me and I can’t imagine living a life where your job spec and income is ultimately decided by your brother. I rather respect Harry for trying to break away, even though he has made serious mistakes too.

I don’t like everything H & M have done but I don’t see the point of endlessly badgering them now they have gone away and are trying to make a go of making a living themselves.

And I don’t care who is the subject - I loathe orchestrated pile ons of any description - they make me very uncomfortable and make me wonder “who is benefiting from this?”

Which members of the RF and the establishment are keen to have attention diverted away from them? And why?

I agree with you on everything you said.

CrispWinterSunshineBright · 27/11/2024 03:26

Why do you care? It really is of no consequence OP.

PrestonHood121 · 27/11/2024 04:26

Distancing. Lots of rumors that Tyler Perry is about to be caught up in all the mess with P Diddy. Same with Ellen and Portia. All rumors of course.

winter8090 · 27/11/2024 05:26

H&M seem to have made an agenda to "professionally separate"

In true form their own selfish agenda trumps over following through on commitments to people who have helped them.

I was about to post this. I assume Harry has been advised to distance himself from TP.

This is a civil claim, not criminal. It is about the damages of past press behaviours - past behaviours which have in some cases resulted in criminal prosecution. The mainstream media is in a different place following Leveson. The victims have had 'their day in court' with the judicial enquiry.

Civil cases are supposed to be settled out of court. So those having done something wrong should pay up to.those hurt, and if both sides agree then there is no need to waste court time. In fact, insisting on your 'day in court' rather than accepting a reasonable settlement is - rightly - punished because it wastes the courts time, and the tax payers are the ones paying for courts time.

Advised by whom though? Does he have any advisors anymore? Just PR people who last about five mins and seem to be clueless.

Tylers links to Diddy are not surprising considering what Diddy was up to, I think a lot of Hollywood are involved to some degree. But, the rumours around Tyler for years now, are about Weinstein type allegations with males and paying off his accusers.

If Harry has been advised to steer clear, then I can only imagine it would cause a huge issue in their marriage.

I wondered about this too.

If this really is the case Henry's going to have a job on his hands having accepted a free mansion stay and allegedly installing TP as a godparent to one of the dc.

Tealeavesinthecup · 27/11/2024 09:58

Surely Meghan wouldn’t be going either though if they’re distancing themselves?

isitsnowingyett · 27/11/2024 10:42

I would love to have been there when the conversation took place - look Meghan it seems that people think you hog the limelight when we go on my trips...they talk about your expensive jewellery and clothes being a mess and unsuitable. I mean - what was that marching in shorts all about at Invictus? Why don't you just do the bookshops and hair salons and coffee shops and I do the serious stuff?

Sunblessed · 27/11/2024 11:05

Well with Harry not going to the Gala, I’m sure Meghan will decide to keep up the ‘sexy’ red carpet look like we had last time. Plus the new wavy curls.

The date is the 4th December and we should also know by then what’s happening with the ARO trademark. She was given 3 months at the end of August to resolve issues. That means December 1st we should know right?

FWIW I know nothing about these supposed rumours concerning Tyler Perry, but even a known conviction didn't stop Harry's father from supporting a criminal and it's hard to imagine that Harry's judgement is any better

Certainly I've seen nothing to suggest that, but of course I may have missed something

Isn't TP closely tied up with Oprah in a business sense? My understanding is that TP giving them the house/security was part of the business grooming strategy so that OW would secure the 'bombshell' interview.

And its my guess that this business grooming strategy is ongoing - OW is waiting for the next interview expose - and the rich pickings would be from MM to tell her story of the BRF or marriage to PH. I dont think PH will do another BRF bashing interview (post OW, Netflix, Spare + all the accompanying promo interviews) - so MM is the money shot and TP/OW etc are all keeping their gravy train warm IMHO.

ThePoshUns · 27/11/2024 15:10

That sounds about right @gramachroi . There is no loyalty in LA it's all about making money off people.

What a ridiculous post.

Harry is at a different event.

I'm sure Megan can manage on her own a represent them both...

How is that exactly?

He was scheduled to be a tribute host at the gala months ago. His name was literally on the invite.

Now he has pulled out last minute.

So no, it’s not ridiculous. I’m glad I could explain that to you

Honestly, it looked like H&M were shoehorned into the Tyler Perry thing. It's a bit of Hollywood backslapping. The NY thing looks like a bit of East Coast backslapping. Nothing to get worked up about really.

Saschka · 27/11/2024 17:00

@Sunblessed Harry not honouring Tyler Perry. Why?

Well it's obvious, isn't it?

Harry HATES his wife Meghan and his friend Tyler Perry, and spends his life trying to get away from them, seeing as they were rude to the Royal Family and all. And of course, he LOVES to read ridiculously nonsensical posts about him and Meghan on social media.

So...

... he asked Jeff Bezos, Bill Clinton, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Open AI CEO Sam Altman, Serena Williams, Fed Chair Jerome Powell, Eli Lilly CEO David Ricks and others if they could get together in New York on the same day as Tyler was having his Paley Center Honor ceremony, and they all said: "Yeah buddy, we're happy to help! We know that a few obsessively hating folks just LIVE for their daily dose of 'Meghan and Harry are getting divorced' BS fake gossip, so we'll make space in our schedules so you can get an excuse to get away!"

Duh.

🙃

Don’t forget Ken Griffin, whoever he may be.

Quite.
He had star billing after "Clinton" and "Bezos" before.
