Meghan was trolled pretty badly online by people calling her fat during her pregnancies, I wouldn't be surprised if she's taken it to heart as they both seem to sensitive to what people think of them. I don't think she looks old, she doesn't look 25 but no one does by the time they reach 40.

You are quoting the Daily Heil, you may as well be reading Dr Seuss for factual basis

Am I missing something here? What is the logic of referring to The Daily Mail as The Daily Heil? The words don't rhyme, so what's the point? Or is there something else that you feel makes it a (witty?) play on words? (Sorry. Don't know how to do cross outs.)

Or do you pronounce "mail" as "mile"? Or perhaps "heil" as "hail/hale"?

pilates · 04/09/2024 06:06

I wondered that too Tezza

Good grief. In what decade and where was this filmed? Is that Nina Myskow, former columnist for The Sun and the News of the World??

This is just rewriting history. H&M were not pushed out because they were too popular. I’m pretty sure at some stages in the past, the beautiful and glamorous Princess Margaret garnered more attention and intrigue than the Queen. She was 22 when her sister became queen.

Imanontoday · 04/09/2024 06:52

I don’t beleive they are living apart. There are two children and staff, I’d put money they both live in the montecito house. Where you could do apart it is so big. I also wouldn’t be surprised if there was a little bolt hole where they could spend the occasional night or two apart though. But in the main I believe they live together. Which doesn’t mean I believe the marriage is as rosey as Megan portrays, far from it,

and I say that as she’s too try hard, after several years together most people can manage to keep their hands off each other and not swoon, and I think Megan is trying too hard to convince the cameras it’s all love and romance. Harry just looks traumatised.

the mail is reporting he’s not looking to come back. It’s the opposite, he’s doubling down on it, and saying he’d only come back if William apologised and his father asks him, which any fool knows neither will happen. So that’s classic Sussex squad misdirection to save face. They just forgot to add they are hugely successful and winning at life at the end of it.

Imanontoday · 04/09/2024 06:59

Also on the ip (patents) mess. That’s amateur hour. Whomever is filing doesn’t know what they are doing, so they haven’t hired a proper ip lawyer, or done any of the normal global name searches etc before deciding the brand.

it looks like simply she’s come up with a name, had an agency create a logo, launched it, created a few labels and sent out some products. Nothings been done right. It was reported you’d expect some back and forth with the patent office, you’d not, not like this.

its been done by amateurs who don’t know how to manage ip, create a brand, or launch a brand, it’s a mess. So it’s either Megan herself or she’s directing an underling who isn’t experienced. She’s not even filling the documentation in right.

they’ve enough money to hire an ip lawyer, to hire an brand/naming expert, to do it right, it’s not big money, so it tells us someone utterly clueless is dealing with this, which is likely Megan herself/

I really find it hard to understand that one of the reasons it was rejected was because they underpaid by $500, Its just crazy incompetence.

I suppose it could be possible if it's the case 'everyone is working around the clock with staff slumped over their desk weeping'.

We are currently of a generation in which saying the right thing in the right language is seen as having a higher moral value than actually behaving with dignity and stoicism. This is a tragic generational mistake. Not only does it give us empty role models who spout meaningless word salad like Meghan, but is has also made us less resilient as people

I have no idea if she was trolled online for that, it wouldn't surprise me. The wisest thing for celebrities is to ignore X and other platforms. They're toxic.

It's tedious, isn't it. Quite an old trope, with the non too subtle claim of Daily Mail= Nazism. A limiting and ludicrous mindset.

They are doing it on the cheap. Which means it’s lip service, and not a serious effort. It tells us everything. You can create a brand and register it. Likely by throwing less than 50k at it, that includes doing brand name searches in all key markets, focus groups, an ip lawyer etc. they haven’t done any of it. Which says they are doing it on the cheap. Come up with a name, create a logo, a few cheap labels and some jam and dog biscuits, submit applications without checking.

aro isn’t a serious effort.

CarmelaBrunella · 04/09/2024 07:38

They're not putting the effort in. They significantly over estimate their own ability, creativity and popularity.

No, they aren’t, and I suspect this is in part why people leave. Well past the fact they are clearly impossible to work for, demanding and rude. They don’t do things correctly, nor seek or follow advice, and as such they fail.

if I worked for someone who was launching a brand, who failed to send the cheque, signed the wrong documents, didn’t do a search, launched before anything was in place. I’d also leave. It is noddy town.

Love that comment too.

It also explains why the Royal family approach is winning. In the long run you need substance not style, something Harry and Meghan need to learn quickly.

I saw a headline today saying that Harry is demanding William apologise before he returns. He is apparently living in fantasy land full time.

GorgeousTulips · 04/09/2024 08:11

The best thing is for the RF to leave them to implode on their own, which seems to be happening.

Manypaws · 04/09/2024 08:16

I wonder if Harry has offered an apology?

I don’t think she has charisma. In fact it is one of the vital ingredients she lacks. My opinion of course.

Edited

I don't either. She come across as disingenuous. She not even that good an influencer her 40x40 petered out like steam in the wind.

It's actually not ludicrous. Prior to World War 2, the Daily Mail was actively supporting Hitler and the Facist movement. Its was considered a propaganda outlet that was fed information from Goebbels. So it does in fact have deep historical roots.

Hitler, the Daily Mail and how Lord Rothermere showed he has learned the lessons of history

It can seem glib to compare the current era to the 1930s. There are parallels, with the rise of nationalism and the free press under attack, but we are a long way away from Nazi-style totalitarianism returning to the West. Nonetheless today’s journalis...

Agree! Re the headline I just posted I was thinking " are they nuts?" . Do they really believe he is so popular and Britain is sitting waiting for him to come back? It's sheer madness.
