Netflix deal, looking like it may be over for H&M

The rumours have been doing the rounds for a while, but Puck News now reporting it, which means it is very likely that their contract with Netflix will not be renewed.

"The streamer is not expected to renew its five-year, $100 million deal signed in 2020 with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Meghan’s passion project, the animated kids show Pearl, has already been canceled, and the unscripted cooking and polo offerings didn’t connect the way the royal couple’s Harry & Meghan did. "

My friend wasn’t being morbid , it was simply an observation. I really hope he recovers and is around for a long time not least because I think it would be a dreadful strain on W and C given her illness and the fact their DC are so young .

CarmelaBrunella · 27/08/2024 10:26

I think KC is currently undergoing more chemo. That takes a toll.

WinnieTheW0rm · 27/08/2024 10:27

I think he's looking a little less ruddy, which might be a good thing. And that he appears to have lost a bit of weight (suits seem a bit large on him), which is pretty usual for some forms of cancer treatment. (And I think some cause sun photosensitivity too, which could be a reason for the paleness)

You can't really tell from photos with certainty though.

This. Also think he is looking more like the late Queen as he gets older, and has that more loose skinned look on his face than his father did, which ages him more

"But he’s had a lot of stress with Harry and illness, so it’s understandable"

You can never underestimate the effect of stress on someone. I have photos of a relative who entered WW1 in 1914 and of him two years later. He look at least 10 -15 years older.

I agree, @BunnyLake . However, time and time again his supporters on here justify it by saying it's "his story".
It's not his story at all. He's invading others' privacy. For money.

Talk about your own dick if you have to 🙄 but leave other people's out of it. It's disgusting.

A person like Harry.

Yet still people excuse and defend him.

MaturingCheeseball · 27/08/2024 11:08

Tbf Charles has always looked a decade older than his peers! When he was 32 upon his marriage people were calling him “old”. Funnily enough Harry is the eternal youngster. Harry will be 80 and a “young parent” - he’ll still be traumatised about his “Mum” (why does he say “mum” and not “my mother” as he didn’t call her Mum) and whining about having to support himself when he’s a mere strip of a lad.

cheezncrackers · 27/08/2024 11:09

Presumably it's a pathetic attempt to be 'relatable'. No upper class person calls their mother 'mum'.

He actually says mummy. I can’t stand it when adults say that but it seems a peculiarly posh thing to do.

Just pondering on the horrendous breach of William's privacy (re: genitals) by Harry in Spare: given that William's a living data subject, and Harry reveals personal data and sensitive data without the data subject's content, how the hell is this not a breach of GDPR in the UK and the EU? This isn't 'silly gossip' or 'alleged rumour' - it's medical information that Harry knows due to his privileged position, and which he and the publisher released unfairly and without permission as part of a attempted hatchet job on a public figure.

Regardless, can you imagine being (e.g.) a blog writer and publishing a piece that discussed the genitals of, say, your sister, who you named and clearly identified, without seeking her permission first. How does a free-for-all culture of breaching the privacy of family members' genitalia possibly support Harry's supposed quest to improve online safety for children. It's all about fucking boundaries, Harry.

LimeBiscuit · 27/08/2024 12:14

As for revealing he was snipped as a baby when this was talked about years before. Of course he can talk about that. If he was snipped then of course talking about it himself would lead to the confirmation that both babies were.

If Harry got hold of William’s full medical records and printed them in Spare you would still defend it @LimeBiscuit so predictable 🙄.

CarmelaBrunella · 27/08/2024 12:19

That's not the whole content. As you know. If only.
Camilla was treated very badly by the press. Supposing she wants to "unburden" herself and "heal". So she writes about about what a lazy, greedy drug addled fool Harry is. She writes about Meghan being a bully, entitled, whining. Camilla telling private stories, maybe true, maybe not, about how ghastly they are.
Oh, Camilla wants to support her grandchildren! It's be a bestseller.
Would that be ok?.

It's just so vile.
Imagine making money out of your brother's medical details like that.

The defence seems to be: it's ok because it's Harry. He needs to "unburden". No-one else matters.

AutumnCrow · 27/08/2024 12:28

It's one of those irregular verbs

Harry 'unburdens'
They make money
The world invades his privacy

He'll be eternally young because he doesn't accept
To take any responsibility for himself or others - it's always everyone else's fault, everyone else's responsibility to cough up money or provide what he expects. His entitlement is intergalactic too - he feels everyone else's money should support him and his family.
Scuzzy though that all this court time about the press and he's telling the world about his brothers circumcision ... amongst other things he's bleated on about to make a few dollars ... I'd love it if people started suing him for him selling their stories!

No he can’t and no he shouldn’t! Would it be ok for Catherine to go on tv or write a book detailing Meghan’s private medical history. You’d be appalled because it’s an invasion of privacy and it’s crass.

QueenOfHertz · 27/08/2024 13:56

Will Harry eventually throw Meghan under the bus too?

No such thing as he can’t and shouldn’t.

He clearly can and did. It was something done to him when he was unable to give consent to it as well. This is a topic that rears itself periodically in real life where the practice is to circumcise and people question it. So yes, knowing the royal babies have this done is something that we now know to be true.
