I am completely crap at gauging the happiness or unhappiness of couples in the public eye unless they do a Diana at the Taj Mahal!

Nah - Harry looks miserable about 90% of the time. Meghan keeps having to remind him to do the rictus grin thing.

Would you look happy all the time if nearly the whole of social media was against your wife?

Pointless people. And pointless waste of Colombian taxpayers cash on their PR exercise.

I think they look dead happy, at ease with themselves, enjoying life. You could pick any famous couple, any member of the royal family and catch them out in a photo with a look between each other that could be read as 'unhappy' . If that's what you're looking for, which obviously those that don't like H&M would be trying to find.

It's funny, I've read on and off on here that Harry looks miserable and I just don't see it! I don't take that from what I see. Not grinning or laughing 100% of the time doesn't mean you are miserable 90% of the time!

The onslaught of negativity regarding 'irrelevant', 'attention-seeking nobodies' M&H's trip to Colombia (on what is meant to be a positive thread!) is just hilarious to watch....

Everytime I dip into these boards I am bewildered by the number of threads and posts obsessively commenting on every detail of anything M&H do and don't do. Folks, they left the RF close to 5 years ago!

The irony is that it's those that claim to have nothing but contempt for M&H that are the most passionately following and commenting on everything they do, to the extent of ignoring anything else of substance relating to the British RF, e.g. recent reports of how they continue to enrich themselves at the taxpayers' expense, or continue to tolerate Prince Andrew...

Remember the media and social media frenzy when Duchess Sophie visited Colombia just 8 months ago? The lengthy commentary about her security? The 12 threads on MN's RF board, each reaching 1000 posts, commenting on everything she said, every hand and eye movement she made, the significance (and cost) of every outfit and piece of jewelry she wore, etc etc etc etc?...

Of course folks don't remember, 'coz it never happened! Makes one wonder who really are the irrelevant nobodies, and who are the super-stars of the British RF... 🤔😆

Because Sophie just went quietly about the job at hand, not making a fuss, not putting herself at the centre of everything, not changing her outfit 3 or 4 times a day, not taking a large retinue including personal photographers with her, not dragging small children around by the hand.

Sophie's trip was generally thought a good thing on these boards - no controversy, just focused on her reason for being there.

Wonder if that was because Sophie was doing a quiet, genuine job of work in Columbia, focusing on others and not her own image and celebrity? Perhaps she went to listen and learn, and not to hog a mic and spew meaningless guff or re-tell tired old anecdotes ABOUT HERSELF for the nth time? What do you think?

Meghan and Harry are no longer in the RF. I don't know what planet they now inhabit, but they are not royals.

I think people on these boards are a) fascinated by the pantomime that is Harry and Meghan and b) see their relevance in terms of culture and history - the silly doings of silly people do actually impact history, as with the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, and their shenanigans have had and are still having an effect on the UK.

Oddly enough, the people in Colombia don't seem that happy with the visit. The VP got herself markled.

There is no such person as Duchess Sophie. There is HRH Duchess of Edinburgh.

I think the incident with the Colombian lady and the arm on the back of the chair was definitely Harry showing how utterly pissed off he was with Meghan and her travelling show. You can see her sitting next to him, staring determinedly straight ahead, rictus in place, while Harry has his little rebellion.

They are definitely not singing from the same hymn-sheet these days, as we see when Meghan has to use one of her controlling signals (claw to the arm, hand on thigh, hand rubbing back etc) to get him to come to heel.

I'l say 'Poor chap!', but he deserves it all.

If leaving the RF in 2020 means its too far in the past for them to be talked about, then by the same token so is discussing Prince Andrew as That Interview was in 2019 (and the actual incidents some time before that)

Well she's an actress and he's under strict orders, so....

She can do the grin most of the time, but he's beginning to give zero fs. I think. She has more to do these days in keeping him in line with her agenda.

A truly strong and brave couple.

They are a very rich privileged couple with more opportunities than most people on the planet will every get.

I assume they are in love and happy because no one if forcing them to stay together or do anything - they are choosing to do these tours and be in front of cameras. They could easily chose to live quietly.

They have two healthy kids and more income than anyone in my combined family will ever see. There will always be critics and the more high profile more there will be - universal love and adulation is rare and fleeting if it ever happens for anyone.

Because it's fascinating to watch them operate. And hilarious. It's interesting to see how they manipulate their supporters, and are in turn being used but are too daft or too arrogant/hubristic to see it.
