Anyone watching this? It's on My5. I thought the first episode was interesting. I was reminded of how popular they were and how much support they got.

Children do not see things the same way as adults do. That is why they have parents making decisions for them.

He was talking about his mother. I think he probably knew how she was feeling and behaving better than anyone else, especially as she uses him as a confidante

The easiest way for Charles to see and spend time with his grandchildren in a safe (and perfectly secure) and private way would be for Harry and Meghan or just Harry to bring the children to Balmoral this summer.

It would be very easy for them to fly in unreported - spend time with family and fly out again unreported.

Maybe they have done exactly that?

But if they haven’t it’s very likely not Charles’ fault. The ball is in Harry’s court - bring the kids over to the UK - stay on a royal property to that all security issues are taken care of. Don’t alert the press you are coming like he did when he flew over when the cancer diagnosis was announced.

That takes care of all security issues and facilitates the visit - much easier than Charles - currently undergoing cancer treatment - to have to involve all the protocols and issues with a HOS visiting another country.

The fact is that as an ex wife, Diana was rebuilding her life and doing positive things. There is evidence that she and Charles had finally found an equilibrium and were getting on in a friendly way.

William suffered from the travails and fallout in that marriage as much as Harry (I would say more) and treats his mother's memory with affection and respect, unlike the frankly disturbing aspects around Harry's endless references to her.

Charles painted Diana as a flighty crazy ex wife. Charles gave a TV interview, had an authorised book written, and leaked lots of stories about Diana and their marriage.

Agreed - I’m always happy to debate the issues with someone with different opinions but this poster lost me with the comments about William being negative about his mother.

It’s a false narrative pushed strongly by the Sussex Squad on Twitter as a way to criticize William.

They can keep in touch with letters and e-mails and phone calls. For all I know Harry might be in touch with his aunts often.

What is the common denominator in this strange behaviour?

The interviews I saw when they went out (yes, I was alive long before they married, let alone split up) did not include anything that could be construed as an accusation that she was "crazy". Even the revelation that he had been unfaithful only after she had been (the only thing that could be construed as a negative, depending on how you view adultery) was couched in neutral terms.

As Harry changes his mind often is he still after reconciliation without an apology or is he back to apology before reconciliation. It’s a bit hard to have a relationship when someone who has public demands on how you should behave. I’ll never get over the fact that Harry writes a relationship ending book and somehow it’s the people on the receiving end to repair the damage.
