C5 Documentary: Harry and Meghan, Rise and Fall

Anyone watching this? It's on My5. I thought the first episode was interesting. I was reminded of how popular they were and how much support they got.

Went to a dinner party not long after they came out. Everyone had half a Viennetta each, it was much applauded bit of hosting (and clearly remembered)

They see Meghan’s Mum . No other Raglands and no Markles .
As Meghan and the children don’t travel to the UK they will rarely , if at all, see the Yorks and Spencers.
Fairly sure B and E will not want to incur the wrath of the RF by being overly friendly with the Montecito Moaners.

They were great! I remember when they came out, quite the sophisticated dessert.

This is simply not true. Some of the York's have visited them in America. Harry is thought to have stayed with the Yorks in the UK. The Spencers greeted Harry very warmly in public - they are obviously not strangers. And Meghan's family is far wider than her mum and dad. There are aunts, uncles and cousins and yes she sees at least some of them.
The truth is you all think the only important family is Charles, William and Kate. If they do not see them, that is the same as not seeing family.

Harry stays with Prince Andrew at Royal Lodge, does he?
Interesting point - the York family, and particularly Beatrice and Eugenie are good friends with Piers Morgan.

Harry only saw the Spencer relatives at the Invictus event at St Paul's.
They greeted each other. Of course.

Didn't say it was just Charles, William and Kate , however I think we can agree that they don't see either grandfather and as they don't travel to UK then they aren't seeing much of the rest of the family are they?

Very warmly. They seemed close.
Harry is supposed to have stayed with a York sister in the UK, not Andrew. I.E. staying with his cousin.

I don't know what they had for lunch in that restaurant. Perhaps a small vendetta.

If H and M and DC see Meghan’s family I wonder why none of them were at her wedding ?

I really don't get the sense that the Spencers and Beatrice and Eugenie are pond hopping to see them, or vice versa. Maybe Harry a bit on his flying visits.

As far as Meghan's other relatives go (excluding Thomas and his other kids) I know it is boldly stated by the Squad that some of them were at the wedding but were they? Which ones? Happy to be wrong.

I think Sarah and Jane keep in touch but Charles Spencer tried to dissuade Harry from marrying Meghan .

Well, that would be his card marked good and proper.

Of course they're close, they're his mother's siblings! The strange thing is not seeing them often, but that's families for you.
I think Meghan knew Prince Andrew before she met Harry because she was already friends with Eugenie. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Harry and Meghan were friends with the Yorks. Not one bit.
Funny about Piers Morgan, but that's showbiz.

@Manypaws They live in another country. Like many families that means they will not see so much of the family in the UK. But they may zoom, talk on the phone and whatsup.
I have read pieces about Meghan seeing other people in her family.
In terms of how often they see family, that is up to them.
All this faux concern for two rich children who have loving parents. They will be fine.

They weren’t. It was only Doria . One person posted a photo claiming the people were relatives but that was shot down.

We're ruminating about Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet finding out all the details from Oprah, Spare etc. not that they don't see cousin Eliza or whoever. That's minor.

It's not as if the couldn't afford to travel to see them.....

Having money doesn't mean that you won't question why there are issues in your family
