I never liked the queen. Thought she was huffy, rude and stubborn and barely smiled.
Definitely pefere prince Harry than the rest. He seems more grounded and think the public give him too much of a hard time just for simply not wanting the life he had.

Agree with all this too.

keffie12 · 24/07/2024 23:10

@DreamyPombear My full support is for H & M, who if people bothered to look into it properly, would know the RF have treated them as the scapegoats and work undercover with the media

The media hate them because H is taking on the media and winning.

On that, I am out of here as some on MM will always give me grief over it.

I don't have the time or the energy for arguing in a never-ending circle.

Thank you for the post. @Dreamy, it's nice to be asked. I mean that sincerely

OneSpryKoala · 24/07/2024 23:11

The royal family is definitely prone to some weird shenanigans. 😂

They get my vote too! Treated appallingly and thank god he has the Invictus family who anchor him. 😊🩷

You may not like the institution but it doesn't mean people have to be so downright nasty about individuals.

The institution would not exist without the people who are prepared to perpetuate this ridiculous ‘special bloodline’ anachronism. I’m baffled as to why anyone would think they should be exempt from criticism.

Mummylovesmonkeys · 24/07/2024 18:36

This. She is the love of Charles life, and Diana was a mistake, and just to make the 'establishment' happy.

I suspect Camilla wasn’t the love of his life either, and he was made to marry her by the Queen “to make an honest woman of her”/kill off some of the controversy. They live apart don’t they? And I thought always have done.

I suspect he’d have been absolutely fine in a marriage of convenience to Diana and shagging around like his dad, but Diana wasn’t willing to put up with it and blew the whole thing up.

I do think Camilla makes a way better consort than Diana ever would have done.

BloodyHellKenAgain · 24/07/2024 23:19

I like Charles and always have and I like him as the king.
He was years ahead with his love of the environment/organic farming etc which I admire. Unfortunately I can also remember him being mocked for caring about the environment.
I'm glad he was eventually able to marry Camilla who I also like.
I think they appear to be a very good match for each other and I wish them well.

@OneOneSpryKoala I gingerly decided to look at your response as I normally get aggro, which I don't respond to.

Phew, and thank you. I enjoyed reading your message

User14March · 24/07/2024 23:20

@Saschka Kanga, etc. Kanga was carted off via black car when senior Royals apparently got wind of instability.

H is C son, he has his small close together eyes, nose similar too. Look at the sister of Diana, red hair in the family.

For me, there’s one piece of evidence that’s more compelling than any other - the fact that James Hewitt has made clear more than once that he couldn’t possibly be Harry’s father.

Think about it. His entire notoriety is based on his relationship with Diana. Without it, he’s just a ten a penny public school ex-Army nobody. Would he come out and say directly “It’s possible I’m Harry’s father”? Of course not. But I’m damn sure he’d leave it deliberately ambiguous if there was even the slightest chance.

Although Harry does look like James Hewitt, I think as he’s got older he’s actually starting to look more like Charles.

Let me guess - you're not an expert in historical costume?

No, I’m not an expert on historical costume, my expertise lies in asking “why is that 6 year old kid in a starched collar?”

One of them fidgets and can’t sit still for a minute, maybe it’s all the itchy tweed.

There’s no need.

RuledbytheWashingMachine · 24/07/2024 23:32

At the time of the the Queen's death, I couldn't understand all the love and admiration. Yes she had a great stiff upper lip and avoided drama. I guess she was iconic in her bright hats. However, what did she actually do that was so outstanding?

CelesteCunningham · 24/07/2024 23:35

Diana would have been the MIL from hell, and would have frightened off sensible, family oriented Kate long before any thoughts of a wedding.

PoliteBalonz · 24/07/2024 23:35

Weirdly, I am not a Kate fan. I see a good mother and arm candy material for William. Other than that an overly thin woman who tries too hard to be seen as perfect.

The ‘where is Kate’ storm on the internet was not surprising. It was definitely weird how when she dropped out of sight KP was acting weirdly. The net hounds smelled something wasn’t right and the game was afoot for all the would be Sherlocks. In the end KP learned a valuable lesson about what net citizenship can do when there is dishonesty in the relationship it fosters with the outside world. Weird shit indeed.

CelesteCunningham · 24/07/2024 23:37

CurlewKate · 24/07/2024 19:43

I think it's outrageous that Camilla is Queen and if it's true that William doesn't want anything to do with her, I agree with him. On that at least.

The whole point is we don't get to choose.

If you think someone is or isn't suitable for the role for any reason other than who their parents were or who their spouse's parents were, then you don't believe in a royal family.

PoliteBalonz · 24/07/2024 23:38

HaroldSupporter · 24/07/2024 23:07

She was a granny figure in the end.

I will start
I prefer Harry to william

They shouldn't exist
Hereditary specialness is completely irrational
Meghan is fine
The 'firm' are racist
William should have a hair transplant and nose job

seethingmess · 24/07/2024 23:52

I think William and Kate are work shy. Kate especially.

My unpopular opinion is that Harry and William.are two cheeks of the same arse. Both of them want the perks of the job without putting in any work or having yo have any scrutiny about what they are doing. The difference is that Harry is irrelevant but we will be forced to have lazy arse William as head of state. I don't think he'll 'modernise the monarchy'at all. Just cling desperately to the last vestiges of it only changing if the alternative is his kids having to do ordinary jobs.

Aroastdinnerisnotahumanright · 24/07/2024 23:56

That Kate is a secret Mean Girl, I'm sure of it.

Not sure if this is unpopular but William looks hot with a uniform cap on.

The queen wasn't that special, just a stubborn, straitlaced woman who did her best with what brains she was given. She was lucky because that's what the country wanted.

Margaret was a complete nutter and it's a tragedy that her substance abuse was glamourized.

Pippa (well not royal) isn't attractive at all.

I think Camilla is a massive terf and posts on MN’s special feminist pages while drinking gin.

I think Kate’s on here too, reading all the conspiracy theories about her family and laughing while smoking.

If Megan’s here it’s only to see if she’s popular yet

stayathomer · 24/07/2024 23:58

That the general public seem to forget the royal family are real people and also they get way too invested!!
