If true, interesting to see that our King remains flush. 😊

He is worth a mint privately but we’ll never know how much he will leave (outside of Monarch to the first born future holder of all Kingly trappings by virtue of the throne) to his first born or his second son. The late Queen had four children and gifted Ann a fabulous house with beautiful grounds. I always thought how lovely that was. I suspect Harry will not be hard done by when it comes to being remembered in the will. His Dad loves him. Not sure I agree that the will should be sealed.

King Charles appears to have bought a $6.6 million condo in NYC — but probably will never sleep there

The deed for the 3,600-square-foot-home, signed by an official at the Canadian Consulate in New York, says it was bought by His Majesty the King.

The Canadian Consulate bought it. Not the King.

Try harder.

Great. 😊 You read the article.

Did you read the article or just the headline OP? 🙄

Although King Charles is listed on related documents, McCubbing said doing so is a standard practice because Canada is part of the Commonwealth.
"His name is used on legal documentation. It's a function of Canada being a constitutional monarchy," McCubbing told the outlet.

I’d stick to crochet if I were you OP 😉

Posting a negative thread about the King and a thread singing the praises of Harry OP could almost be mistaken for one of the Sussex Squad 🤔

But but but this poster only stumbled across this board by pure accident and she isn't a fan of Harry's, nope.

Yet, by sheer coincidence I'm sure, the writing style is eerily familiar.

Of course I read it. Just wanted to lead with something to start a conversation about whether a Head of State’s Will should be sealed. I like crochet. Doing a blanket for my grandson next. Waiting for the yarn. 😉

Oh pull the other one. You completely fucked up your own thread with your failure of comprehension. Good laugh for the rest of us though.

If I was Charles, I'd be leaving Harry a lifetime supply of Highgrove sausages and nothing much else.

My favourite is, was and always will be KCIII. Yes, I did find this site. Yes, I did join and look around. Yes, I was looking at gardening. Yes, I somehow got drawn in. Yes, I was here for a minute and went back to gardening and crocheting. I’ll be here for another minute before I become one with the 🧶 🧶 🧶 once again. Who knows, I may be back again. Rather depends on the tone and language. Seeing all the rants on X makes me wary but no rants here that I can see. Yet.

Read into it all that you want. It does not make it fact.

Unsealed. No entrenched HOS should have opaque financials. Transparency all the way.

Never said it was fact just thinking out loud, but if I've touched a nerve.....

I am in two minds about it still. On the one hand it is quite a privileged privacy and on the other it would be quite icky to see the media trawl through everything. With glee too no doubt.

HaHa😂

If that was your genuine intention then why have you led with an article that makes you look, if you don’t mind me saying, like a bit of a tit? Odd thing to do on your own thread 🤷‍♀️

I think @ConstantGarden1 your humour is under appreciated. 😊

BemusedAmerican · 13/07/2024 19:48

That's actually a very cheap NYC condo, too.

I tend to think he'd have to put Harry in a Brooklyn brownstone with proximity to parks, public schools, a yard. Brownstones are up 43% over last year.

StrawberriesandCreamTea · 13/07/2024 19:48

@ConstantGarden1

New to Mumsnet and this post made my day. Thank you. 🤩

Transparency would lead to the end of the monarchy I suspect. Untold amounts passed on in wills would give the Republicans information that would further their cause exponentially.

Cheap? How the other half live. I like my terraced house.

The Canadian government bought for a Canadian diplomat. Blame Canada.
