If true, interesting to see that our King remains flush. 😊

He is worth a mint privately but we’ll never know how much he will leave (outside of Monarch to the first born future holder of all Kingly trappings by virtue of the throne) to his first born or his second son. The late Queen had four children and gifted Ann a fabulous house with beautiful grounds. I always thought how lovely that was. I suspect Harry will not be hard done by when it comes to being remembered in the will. His Dad loves him. Not sure I agree that the will should be sealed.

King Charles appears to have bought a $6.6 million condo in NYC — but probably will never sleep there

The deed for the 3,600-square-foot-home, signed by an official at the Canadian Consulate in New York, says it was bought by His Majesty the King.

Wow. My terrace would fit in there a few times.

And the " innocent" act blown. Squaddie

Anyone would think that the Princess of Wales is due to put in an appearance tomorrow and there was much scrabbling around to find negative stuff about the RF. These threads are popping up everywhere. Like a garden full of weeds 😆

I love the smell of desperation in the evening 😂

Of course I read it. Just wanted to lead with something to start a conversation about whether a Head of State’s Will should be sealed. I like crochet. Doing a blanket for my grandson next. Waiting for the yarn. 😉

I really don't see how the actions of the Canadian government in buying an official residence for the Consul General in NYC have anything whatsoever to do with King Charles' personal finances.

"His Majesty the King of Right in Canada" distinguishes him from eg His Britannic Majesty and simply indicates this is a Canadian government matter

Nevermetaghostididntlike · 14/07/2024 14:40

lol, this made me chuckle. Thanks @ConstantGarden1. If the will of the monarch were transparent even more republicans would be born.

It is satisfying to know that Chuckles will remember his son and grandchildren in America too. ;-)

BemusedAmerican · 14/07/2024 15:00

Wow. Do you really expect Harry to move from 7 acres, 14 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms to a three bedroom condo in midtown? He might have to share a bathroom.

I hope that poor Canadian diplomat doesn't find themselves being monitored by the SS.

But but but this poster only stumbled across this board by pure accident and she isn't a fan of Harry's, nope.

Yet, by sheer coincidence I'm sure, the writing style is eerily familiar.

Not only one but two.

Silly nicknames and protestations.

Eerily familiar indeed.

Maybe you should have led with something, you know, accurate?

Embarrassed for you!!

Unsealed. No entrenched HOS should have opaque financials. Transparency all the way.

😂😂😂

PrincessMee · 14/07/2024 22:34

@ConstantGarden1 there are some amazing crochet projects out there. Maybe you could try one of these?

I’m still sitting on the fence about it. 😊

You do realize that the condo was bought for a Canadian diplomat? The SS are going to look like fools staking out an innocent Canadian. It might put Canada off Invictus in Whistler.

@ConstantGarden1 I had a real giggle thank you!! I think you tried to catch out those who don’t click on links. “If true,..” gave it away. 🤫

Transparency for me. Too much murkiness surrounds the finances of the royals.

Why is the OP trying to catch people out? Bit of an odd and convoluted way to start a discussion. We all have to guess the hidden topic 😳

“If true, interesting to see our king remains flush” makes zero sense.

If true? The veracity of the purchase is irrelevant to the king’s finances because the purchase is by the Canadian consulate. So how does the truth or falsehood of the purchase prove Charles is flush either way? Not even the title is ambiguous as to what’s going on. And who on Earth doubts that Charles is flush in any event?

Seriously, give it up. The OP thought she found a gotcha on Charles throwing money about. She got it wrong.

Runnerinthenight · 15/07/2024 21:43

I find it truly bizarre what makes some people "giggle".

The King isn't likely to go bankrupt any time soon!
