Princess Anne back to work today

I am very pleased to see that Princess Anne has been able to attend a Riding for the Disabled event at Hartpury University today. I expect she has been champing at the bit to be permitted to get back out and about. Good choice for first event back, horse related and very close to her home.

Neither is suggesting that a cancer patient post pictures of her pain for good PR. You’ve received criticism and questioning for that suggestion.

Not what I said. Hope that helps.

Jesus, just stop. Everyone can read your posts. That is exactly what you said.

It's similar to celebs having a baby then looking perfect again almost immediately - regular people in similar situations could feel inferior or useless.
In some ways it'd be a positive thing for PA and for Catherine to release some real photos showing the reality of what they're going through - but obviously I know they're under no obligation to do so, it's just a thought

There you go.

Yep. I know what I said. It's your spin on it that I didn't say.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 13/07/2024 22:19

What spin is that?

ReadyTeddy1000 · 13/07/2024 22:20

I didn't mention any photos of HER. I said photos of what she's going through.
But constant badgering and misconstruing my words is horrible

😮 That's a bit fucking twisted isn’t it?

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 13/07/2024 22:22

You have been asked repeatedly what photos. So why don’t you answer that. How is she to show the reality of what SHE is going through?

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 13/07/2024 22:23

Oh and please tie that answer into your comments about her looking immaculate and that being disheartening.

What photos of what she is going through would there be without “her” being in them
in some way? Otherwise they could be random photos of anyone and that would have no meaning 🤷‍♀️

AliceOlive · 13/07/2024 22:26

ReadyTeddy1000 · 13/07/2024 17:34

Why so patronising?
Esp when disheartening and upset DO NOT mean the same.

This sort of comment is exactly why I've not elaborated anything further to my original post

Initally I was replying to someone who had said something similar, and was simply -

"It's similar to celebs having a baby then looking perfect again almost immediately - regular people in similar situations could feel inferior or useless.
In some ways it'd be a positive thing for PA and for Catherine to release some real photos showing the reality of what they're going through - but obviously I know they're under no obligation to do so, it's just a thought"

It wasn't a huge deal. It was "just a thought".
Since then, that very basic post has turned into comments saying I'm doing "post after post" about it, that its weird that I felt disheartened when someone looks immaculate when having chemo. (I didn't say i wanted her to look awful and I didn't say that those who have come out the other side should in any way agree, and I didn't say it upset me).

It’s absolutely fucked for anyone to suggest that people whose entire lives are already lived on a global stage should also have to behave a certain while critically ill, all for your personal edification. Whatever they do you’ll feel “disheartened” anyway. Why should they have to do that?

ReadyTeddy1000 · 13/07/2024 22:27

Please stop. This is horrible. I'm asking you to stop. Please.

Particularly since she released one of herself and the children for Mother’s Day and the absolute shit was kicked out of her for it.

Say, these wouldn’t be the same type of people demanding “real” photos again now, would they?

Back at you.

I’m not sure what is being misconstrued.

It seemed fairly clear (and horrendously distasteful enough) to me.

And please stop?

Yes. Please stop comments like that.

I've explained things and then that gets misconstrued so have given up.
Love your user name.

I wonder if the accident has affected how she feels about horses and horseriding. She's such a trooper, I can't imagine anyone I know in their 70s going through something so series then working again 3 weeks later

QueenBitch666 · 14/07/2024 01:39

You ride horses you take your chances 🙄

I suspect you don't know many 70 year olds. Or many horse people.

Thmssngvwlsrnd · 14/07/2024 09:50

That bruise must be so painful every time she smiles or even speaks, I would think. She really is a trooper coming back to work so soon.

It must be horrendous for her. I can't even imagine what it must have been like 3 weeks ago 😲😭
