Will he?

I am no gambler but I can’t see it myself. Not unless he wants to show his support of his son. Would KC be that generous to his ‘darling boy’? If he did it will definitely upset some anti Harry royalists/daily mail readers/ right wing Americans. Can’t have Harry receiving the King surely….he is supposed to be beyond the pale these days.

William is reported as being ‘baffled’. Baffled? More like blazingly angry about it if true. I guess Will’s thought he could act like a ‘cuckoo’ and get Harry out now and forever. Maybe, the ‘bullying’ trait reported over the years by many, many people regarding him is still there.

King Charles 'in discussions' to visit Prince Harry for first time in years - as 'reason' behind trip revealed

King Charles is said to be in discussions to visit his estranged son Prince Harry in America for the first time in years - but his wife and Prince William are reportedly not happy

I think Harry loves too much sometimes. The scales, however, fell from his eyes regarding how some of the ‘working’ royals were behaving behind the scenes when Meghan entered the space. He has grown tremendously, owned his past mistakes and bigotry and worked on his worldview. He stays the course with his philanthropic endeavours too. I think parts of the UK can’t believe how he is still going strong and staying in the game of life. He is winning every day. Plus getting better PR support than the grey men ever gave him. He may no longer be the most popular royal but he sure is showing greater depth, savvy, happiness and spirit than when he was under the thumb of the establishment machine. It is a bit of a rodeo ride being in America. We love a good bust up. In the end though we welcome a spirited warrior who had the balls to break out and protect his own family. Even now the UK press can’t let his name go….every second article leading with a Harry headline ends up talking about another main ‘working’ royal. They still need Prince H to draw the clicks for their money. Harry just needs himself.

It was good to see him do a walkabout a few months ago at St Paul’s for the ten year INVICTUS anniversary. Signs held aloft, smiles and cheers, calls of ‘We love you Harry’ and a man showing real confidence and ease. Made me proud to be a supporter.

"Proud to be a supporter"?

Of a spoiled prince who wouldn't cross the road for you or anyone else?

This reads like parody.

AliceOlive · 04/07/2024 21:24

Harry’s behavior toward Catherine has been absolutely toxic. We hear he’s confused about why no one wants him around, so I do believe he thinks he loves her. But who would want that kind of “love” in their life?

We hear

😂😂😂

Happy to agree to disagree but is it really necessary to be rude and catty though?

Says the person calling others rude and catty.

And yapping on about ‘point scoring’.

Edited

Oh dear.

The rudeness I was referring to was the unnecessary comments about my brief comms career. I don’t mind it because it was indeed brief 😀 but why is it always necessary to be so impolite in tone?

Would a comment like that be made to a fellow Monarchist? If not, then it shows the motives behind it are really superficial.

Were you not taught at school or uni to debate objectively without descending to personal comments?

I will refrain from replying further I think.

Really, one usually saves such effluent to trump eejits.

You’ve posted Celebitchy and a page on X as “proof” today, and got the latter completely wrong, so I am not sure why you are laughing at anyone else’s sources. Meghan has always leaked to the tabloids like People and the Sussexes put out statements through them, which is where “we hear” rather a lot from those two.

I See You GIF by HBO Max

Shutting down conversation when I noted hypocrisy.

How familiar.

I'm not especially a 'Monarchist'.

I enjoy the history, tradition and of course the gossip, and if there were a referendum I'd probably vote to keep it. But I can certainly see the validity of arguments to the contrary. None of which have been made by any of the 'republicans' on this board, most of whom seem way more interested in fawning over certain members of the royal family.

And why mention your 'Comms career' if you don't want people to comment on it? Was it before or after all your studies on British constitutional history?

Recuperation7 · 04/07/2024 21:45

IcedPurple · 04/07/2024 21:36

Yes, because people were using their 'interest in the Comms angle' to justify all sorts of lurid theories.

We see it right here on this thread. A poster terribly offended by 'vitriol' towards certain royals isn't bothered by really nasty speculation about another royal, instead preferring to criticise her office because they did not 'apologise' for not giving daily updates on her condition to the public.

That’s a massive twisting of my words though. Please go back and read them.

I have repeatedly said that I loathed the nasty comments and speculation about Catherine.

I really will stop responding now as I want to watch some election coverage.

Have a good evening flag wavers! 😉😀

Just seen this.

No I didn’t want anyone to comment on it particularly. It certainly wasn’t necessary to be rude about it. I only mentioned it because it was relevant to the discussion.

But it’s apparently fine for Monarchists to be snippy, rude and condescending to Republicans and even question their right to post here, because you are all fine, upstanding people! Don’t worry, I get it now! 😀

AliceOlive · 04/07/2024 21:51

I think a policy of truth and openness could have really benefited Harry and Meghan right from the start.

Like “Catherine, my feelings were really hurt when you didn’t take me shopping so I told a friend who writes a gossip blog.”

And “I am ashamed of my father so don’t have any intention of your family ever meeting him, Harry.”

And “I failed to protect my wife when she was suicidal and I am distraught about that, so I’m lashing out at my family publicly, Oprah.”

The possibilities are quite extensive.if they did this publicly so much of the criticism and speculation would end.

Makemydaypunk · 04/07/2024 21:51

Have a good evening Prince Harry republican super fan.

Please stop trying to create sides and assign false behaviors to one or the other. I’ve seen rude and snippy out of all sorts here for years now. You are more than bordering on it yourself now.

AliceOlive · 04/07/2024 21:53

Yes I was bordering on it in my last post for which I apologise.

It’s hard not to to feel a bit riled when you have so many posters picking apart posts and ascribing motives to you which are untrue. And questioning your right to be here. Repeatedly!

Let’s just say that I think some Monarchists - the rude ones - do not do their cause much good when they post that way and make constant, unnecessary personal remarks instead of addressing the actual points made.

I agree that not everyone who supports the Momarchy on these threads is like that though!

I am questioning why any serious republican would want to spend their time posting about what is essentially family drama and gossip. Rather than post about the weighty issues of how to bring about a republic and what happens next to the entire constitution and political make up of the UK, a discussion that is unlikely to happen on this board. That is why the republicans who spend time attacking the RF on the one hand for things that are really not going to bring about a republic, whilst defending without question the activities of 2 RF members who very much want the monarchy to continue because that’s their gravy train, are being questioned and challenged - not attacked, challenged on the stuff they post. Because it doesn’t really add up for us “flag waivers”.

(BTW, don’t republicans love their country and wave the flag?)

RocketsMagnificent7 · 04/07/2024 22:01

And so it proved to be, as once Catherine had made a statement everyone, quite rightly, shut up.

No they didn't! They still haven't shut up. There are still multiple rumours doing the rounds.

Vespanest · 04/07/2024 22:13

Some of the last post show the reason why a discussion is difficult, I dislike how Harry behaves, but I’m not in a team, I’m not a supporter and TBH the only teams I have are in sport. I left fandom after puberty. The Catherine vitriol was vile and the Meghan vitriol has been vile. I actually want Meghan to be financially successful and this would hopefully stop the competition that appears to be one sided. Harry and Meghan pay far too much money in PR to be not talked about, equally every time the royals do an engagement will bring out the anti monarchy. My dislike of Harry does not equal the love of someone else, I dislike Harry because he a hypocritical, sanctimonious oath.
