Good stuff? My arse.

This quote (my apologies for copying bits of it) is from a forces forum. They are pretty astute.

Some were talking about H in disparaging terms long before others were.

Here they discuss the award.

Profiting from and exploiting the memories of dead or injured people -- his mother, Invictus veterans, 25 Taliban, Tillman... Others have died so that Harry can thrive, for doing nothing.".

Pat Tillman's mother has objected to the award going to Bunker Harry.

The Cult has gone for her.

LaMarschallin · 03/07/2024 11:43

Maybe they forgot to check if the award was for change for the better or for the worse?🤔

EvangelistaSister · 03/07/2024 11:53

They’ll be needing another mansion for all the trophies

TicTacToes · 04/07/2024 13:08

Enlightening article and the comments below it are showing some real understanding about Harry’s excellent CV. More and more people are definitely cottoning on to the Daily Mail’s agenda. Faux outrage all round and I predict a standing ovation for Harry and Invictus at the award ceremony. Well done ESPN for supporting the founder and the organisation. I agree that the manufactured criticism is going to pull in more support for him. Karma works that way.

Cele|bitchy | Previous Pat Tillman Award winners came out in defense of Prince Harry

Celebitchy is a daily gossip and entertainment blog, started in 2006, which also focuses on liberal politics, royal coverage and fashion.

That’s an odious site. Funny to complain about the DM then link to a blog known to be filled with vitriol including toward children. Is there another source?

Gorgonemilezola · 04/07/2024 14:15

It's not Invictus receiving the award, it's Harry. I think that's why people have a problem with it. Decriers of the royal family claim they're lazy, and others do all the work behind the visits, charities, foundations etc., yet supporters of Harry and Meghan would have us believe Harry created and runs the Invictus Games all on his lonesome.

TicTacToes, if you're supporting your argument using Celebitchy it says all....... and not in a good way.

BlueParrotRedParrot · 04/07/2024 14:29

I believe Harry's and Meghan's main contribution to the Invictus Games is their expenses claim.

Thedom · 04/07/2024 14:41

That website is the stomping ground of the Sussex Squad, there is nothing enlightening whatsoever about any of their unintelligent commentary, it is as toxic as you can get, along with being racist, sexist and conspiracy laden, its writers and commentators are totally crackers.

Harry ' changed the world', fuck me what planet do these writers live on?

What did he do? I mean seriously!

BlueParrotRedParrot · 04/07/2024 16:15

PrincessMee · 04/07/2024 16:10

What did he do? I mean seriously!

To be fair, he’s probably changed the world’s perception of seal communication and applications for Elizabeth Arden cream forever.

DeftLemonDog · 04/07/2024 16:24

I read the celebitchy article and went to find another source for some of it.

In regards to the two past recipients of the Pat Tilllman award, both Jake Wood and Israel del Toro jnr have said Harry is a good choice. Both veterans know Harry through Invictus. Both have spent time with him. Israel was at the inaugural Invictus Games.

I also came across a quote by Pat Tillman and I’m putting it here. Just because I like it:

“To err on the side of passion is human and right and the only way I’ll live.”
PAT TILLMAN

I still think that awards and medals should go to the largely unsung heroes of this world. My mind has not been changed in that regard.

Totally agree .

DeftLemonDog · 04/07/2024 16:37

Oh and the McAfee bloke who was also mentioned in Daily Mail article 28 June 2024, and who thought Harry getting the award was a joke also said that all he knew about Harry came from The Crown tv series and South Park.

BlueParrotRedParrot · 04/07/2024 16:42

The South Park episode was one of the most accurate depictions of Harry and his wife that have been produced. McAfee’s assessment was spot on.

Thedom · 04/07/2024 17:30

The fact that others have to come out publicly to try to 'justify' Harrys' nomination says it all !

Also Jake Woods foundation received a grant from Archewell, so it appears it's another reciprocal transaction. Harry's PR calling in lots of favours not doubt.

BlueParrotRedParrot · 04/07/2024 18:11

How interesting @Thedom . Always follow the money, eh?

TicTacToes · 04/07/2024 18:17

Wow, 77,000 already support the award. 🤗

It fits in with some seeing words that aren’t written on here - all those supporters just, well, aren’t there either.

It is almost a shame I think. I can’t imagine how much of an annoying affliction that must be.

Some posters should have gone to a certain well known optician maybe 😂

I should have gone to specsavers. 😎

Itisabastardcakenotafuckingbiscuit · 04/07/2024 20:22

I don’t think Specsavers would have helped.
