George nearly always looks tired. Very like The late Queen's father in appearance.

Passiflora2 · 15/06/2024 20:19

I think he’s very like the Queens father.

Maybe he has a cold. Maybe he was moved, almost to tears. Maybe he had the wind in his face. It was quite breezy there. I didn't exactly think he looked ill, but pink and emotional.

Or maybe it's the cancer?

The Princess of Wales looked absolutely stunning. On point perfect. 👌 I am so glad that she’s obviously heading in the right direction at least.

What a turn out! In such awful weather too. I don’t think our Royal Family are going anywhere, anytime soon.
Although it fries my brain how many anti-monarchists love certain non-working members of the Royal Family. Those who love to use their Royal titles and who spend their time reminding everyone of their Royal connections and try to make out that they are as Royal as possible!?! Make it make sense. Cannot believe that she who must not be named tried to detract by their bestie posting a photo of dog biscuits 😂 bless. Such good value for the shits and giggles though.

Sycophants complaining of sycophancy and fawning…..Ironic and hilarious!

For all of you, who have been or are being affected by cancer 💐💕.

Seriously, give it a rest, it’s embarassing.

More likely the chemo as pp have said. But the rain and wind were not conducive to anyone looking their best

Yes, he has shadows under his eyes always. It's how he looks. He does seem to be serious but there are moments when he smiles and evidently has fun. The camera doesn't stay on him the whole time, or on Charlotte or Louis. so I can't tell much about them.
Edit to say that I can tell that yes, they have certainly been taught 'thumbs down side-seams' - not too difficult a thing for any child to learn.

George has those slightly odd eyes where the iris doesn't fill the whole eye from upper to lower lid, so there's always a lot of white above the lower lid.

It makes him look a bit sad most of the time.

just as i guessed silly trolls on twitter saying its not her why hhas she still got hair the usual

i woul hate to be her

I didn’t lose my hair in Chemo. It did thin a bit but nothing that needed me to shave it off or wear a scarf. If her hair has thinned then some hair pieces will hide it. Trolls are ignorant by nature, hopefully she pays them no heed.

Or maybe it's the cancer?

Whatever treatment he's on may cause fatigue.
For people with cancer it's often the treatment (not the cancer) that makes them look and feel tired.

It can cause skin issues- paleness or redness- dry skin, and all sorts of side effects.

I don't think anyone would expect him to look in blooming health when he's having regular treatment.

I'm glad she is feeling well enough to attend an important day for their family and hope she is on the mend. But I feel a bit uncomfortable with the obsession with her looking beautiful and glam, even when she is seriously ill.

I don't mean this as a criticism of her but more the royal PR machine that insists on this unrelatable sheen of perfection. She is naturally beautiful but the blowout and full make up look after giving birth, while going through cancer, it must be bloody exhausting to maintain.

Why is selling us on her impossible physical perfection so important to the royal press team? I guess it's too late now but if they had tried marketing her as a relatable, natural beauty in the first place there would be less pressure on her maintaining her 'look' now.

What evidence do you have that it's the Royal PR machine?

Maybe she wants to look her best and support William and Charles.

She can't win, can she?
If she turned out a bit too casual, tongues would wag.
If she's beautifully dressed etc, people like you come up with imaginary ideas.

I do wonder how much George knows about how his life is set out for him, and if he feels it profoundly at events like these.

I have to be honest, I feel really sorry for him. He may have wealth and privilege but it must be overwhelming to know this is going to be your life and you’re going to get a lot of hate just for existing (he didn’t choose this life). Charlotte and Louis have it easier (which is why I think being the ‘spare’ is pretty much the best job in the world).

I think she won today!
Glad she's getting better.
Now, I'm slim.
Her waist is smaller than my leg....😳

Unfortunately for the movement, it seems to have been taken over by those who just engage in performative protests, rather than legitimate activism to raise support for a Republic

Unfortunately for the thread, it seems to have been taken over by those who just engage in performative posts, rather than legitimate arguments to raise support for a Republic.

I think that may be because anyone who has tried to engage in respectful Republican arguments on the RF boards of late, have attracted quite vitriolic and unpleasant responses from a core group of vociferous royalists, so they stay away.

It’s surprising really as you would think royalists would defend traditional British values like free speech and courtesy but, with the exception of one or two polite and more objective posters, the opposite appears to be true.

Watching a rerun of the clip on Youtube and George and Louis both sneeze shortly after walking out on the balcony. It appears like William says bless you to them both. Any family of 3 young kids knows how impossible it is to have all healthy at once. Charles aside, it's possible one or more of the children were also under the weather and credit to them for behaving throughout the whole day.

I’ve never seen that here.

Well yes, but maybe it’s her decision to look how she does. Maybe she wants to look polished and her best possible self. We have seen her look quite natural at times, but then she “scrubs up well” for more formal occasions. I’m sure we all try and do the same

This

This is a woman whose appearance has been overly scrutinised for the best part of 2 decades. She is also receiving chemotherapy. She probably wants to look her best so she doesn’t have to read rude shitty comments about how she looks, which will stay with her until the day she dies no doubt and used repeatedly in any negative way trolls want to use them

Apart from the odd genuine republican on her @cathyandclaire being one, I always enjoy her perspective, most regular posters are faux republicans and they post vociferously, they loathe William and Catherine in particular but any member is fair game apart from Harry and Meghan who they absolutely adore. I am happy to debate and discuss republican opinions with actual republicans but the fake ones on here, absolutely not.

I agree with this. People think Republican = being anti-Royal and it’s not

Are these not from after the fly-past when everyone was leaving? The sun had come out by then, it was very grey prior and raining as people were coming down the Mall.

Doesn't look to be any brollies in this pic and it was definitely raining before.

Yes exactly - it’s rather embarrassing thinking this is proving a point. I could take a picture at a Taylor Swift concert of people either leaving or arriving saying “Wow she has no fans!”
