I thought the comparison with the Duke snd Duchess of Windsor (last post on the previous thread) was interesting.

A visit to a dodgy regime, (Nazi Germany) because they would call Wallis HRH and make it a quasi-royal tour.

Of course, at that point Nazi Germany had a dodgy human rights record, but it was before the horrors of the Holocaust.

Let's face it, with the security and human rights issues there is no way the IG could happen in Nigeria. So that is sn excuse.

Another inappropriate dress ( in my opinion ).

What a pity . I thought the Nigerian skirt and shirt look and the yellow dress worked well and looked both elegant and in keeping with where she is. Maybe it’s the polo vibe that makes her go for the so called “stealth wealth” look 🤷‍♀️. It’s such a shame as she ends up wearing colours that really don’t suit her at all.

There's a picture in the DM of her wearing some sort of saggy beige and cream item with seams in weird places, accessorised with a rictus grin. Harry is also in the picture, grinning inanely and looking more like sweaty old Rory McGrath than ever.

I didn’t realise today is Mother’s Day in the US. It’s a shame the children aren’t there to share the day with her and spoil her.

One thing that she excels at I suppose.

A pity, because when she gets it right she looks marvellous.

I remember glitter carnage and excitement about an upcoming Mother’s Day.

I shall quietly thank my lucky stars that my mum chose not to go gallivanting overseas and spent it with me and the siblings instead.

I'm wondering who decided to play God Save the King , would there be advisors ,would the embassy have been consulted? Obviously if this was an official royal tour there'd be protocols etc but it isn't so who decides what happens?

I read the article in the DM when I googled her dress at the polo match. I get the distinct impression they are taking the piss about the number of outfit changes she has had during the trip. And calling her a polo wife

I wonder how Harry and Meghan felt about it. It would make me feel pretty odd in their shoes.

I mean, do you need more evidence that they would not have been invited on their own steam?

It’s very unflattering, she has an amazing figure but wears clothes that would suit a much bigger and bigger Chested woman

The yellow dress was a good choice. Not as lovely as the other yellow dress but lovely all the same.

Honestly stop the constant grinning, stop the grabbing each other's hands and stop the silly outfit changes. Everytime there's an outing they make absolute fools of themselves .

I think the DM are indulging in a lot of piss taking, plus chucking in “pseudo-Royal tour” at every opportunity to see if they can provoke a response from HMG or others.
