What next? What did the launch aim to achieve? Did it get the desired result?

They’ll be running down the shops for a dupe…

Why aren't the photoshop nutters all over that misaligned label, eh? That's what I want to know.

I have seen quite a few comments elsewhere that the colour of the writing is almost indistinguishable from the background and I agree.

Hilarious . As if a c lister on a relatively unknown show would receive a VIP invite and AS IF she would turn it down !😂

WhataPithy · 16/04/2024 10:17

But what type of jam is it?? It doesn’t state it at all? 🤷‍♀️

Peeling label just screams high end Grin

Ratsoffasinkingsauage · 16/04/2024 10:22

The problem with believing any of those stories is that they are now proven liars (or at the very least extreme truth benders) so it makes everything they say seem fake. This is the problem with only ever telling your truth- eventually everyone else catches on that you can’t be trusted and stops listening to what you say. Look at the remarks from the judges in the U.K. cases and the lawyers in the Hertiage Foundation trial. They’ve made themselves unreliable witnesses and therefore not credible.

Who knew a prince of the realm hadn’t understood the moral of the boy who cried Wolf!

LadyWhineglass · 16/04/2024 10:28

Is this even legit or is it a fake/rip off, cos we all know they didn’t copyright anything and so many counterfeit websites and accounts are out there now.

Selling 50 jars isn't going to make much of a dent in those legal costs even if they do manage to trouser that coveted $250 a pop.

The instagram I copied from seemed legit, they are pictured with Harry and Meghan as they are connected through the film one love. Her partner is the ceo of paramount. She has followers that I follow

I wonder if the ingredients are listed ? Is that mandatory in the US ?

I would have thought so. The whole thing looks very amateur hour. The label looks like it was hastily stuck on and it doesn't fit the jar, which is why it's peeling off.

Also, the muslin string tied top really doesn't go with a 'high end' brand. It all looks like something you'd expect to see being sold at one of those 'artisan' food markets that pop up over the summer. Why would anyone pay big money and wait for delivery for something so basic?

Maybe they don’t know what type of jam it is because they have stuck their label over the top of someone else’s produce 😱😂

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 16/04/2024 11:12

Is it grandma’s apple jam? Comes with free instructions on how to make toast.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 16/04/2024 11:13

Or was it apple butter? What the heck is apple butter?

If it's similar to Jersey black butter, it's delicious!

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 16/04/2024 11:31

Oh thanks, @EdithWeston. I’d never heard of either!

And this type of press story is, in my opinion, exactly why Meghan issued the blog post on the Tig just before her relationship with Harry became public.

Ratsoffasinkingsauage · 16/04/2024 12:10

What blog post @Serenster?

Vespanest · 16/04/2024 12:18

I wouldn’t have numbered them, some influencer will be badly burnt with anything over 25 and the biggest question is who made the top 5.

garlicandsapphires · 16/04/2024 12:19

I can't believe they are actually selling jam. Jam.
Is ARO some kind of money laundering scheme?

Abouttimeforanamechange · 16/04/2024 12:22

Indeed. How is it any better than what you could buy in your local National Trust or farm shop, without the added carbon footprint?

I want to know all about the production and supply chain for this jam - the fruit growers, pickers, packers etc - and whether it's all compatible with their eco-humanitarian principles.

Maybe jars #1 - 5 are being kept in reserve for as-and-when-needed publicity stories.

'We sent jars #1 and #2 to Harry's beloved father the King, and to dearest Kate. We really love our royal family.'

'Jar #3 is up for auction for Archewell! A thousand dollars a ticket!'

'Jar #4 is for the lovely billionaire, Oprah'

etc

FlouncetteLaFroth · 16/04/2024 12:29

I’ll not be buying. When there is produce for the jamming, we got to the Kirk stall at the farmers market.

It will usually beat anything you can buy as it is made by Kirk folk in their kitchens. It doesn’t need fancy jars, string or any other mince.

Unlike M’s jam (and seemingly other aspects of M too) they know the value of ‘it is what’s inside that counts’ and no fancy packaging is going to change that.

Yes you get wonky ones but that is half the fun. Still tastes fine.

FlouncetteLaFroth · 16/04/2024 12:29

@AutumnCrow

Ain't that the truth?! 🤣

Vespanest · 16/04/2024 12:32

I can see Scobie spreading Harley’s strawberry jam crying whilst listening to “it is should have been me” on repeat, somewhere in the world right now.

upinaballoon · 16/04/2024 12:44

Sandringham Royal Estate strawberry preserve, handmade in Norfolk - ingredients - sugar, strawberries, gelling agent (pectin), citric acid, lemon juice, processing aid(butter from milk). The Dairy Book tells us to swirl in a bit of butter to get rid of stuff on the top of jam.
Some will say that Kate has spent summer holidays doing nothing at Anmer House but I suspect the late QE taught her and Camilla how to knock out a few hundred jars of jam in a week, while the world was calling them lazy.
Off topic - I'll go.
