To continue the discussion...

What next? What did the launch aim to achieve? Did it get the desired result?

Anyone know why Harold's only having to pick up 90% of Home Office costs and not the lot?

pilates · 15/04/2024 20:06

Yes, how do they justify giving H the 10% discount?

upinaballoon · 15/04/2024 20:14

He's a regular customer?

The Home Office apparently failed to produce some documents on time on a matter Harry argued was key to his case, namely who else RAVEC protects. So I assume he argued that the failure cost him time and additional legal fees. He had asked the court for a 50-60% discount. However, since whatever it was that was missing doesn’t seem to have made a difference to the outcome of the claim, 10% is probably seen by the judge to be a fair amount. I think there are rules about this stuff.

@upinaballoon 😂 The Vexatious Litigant Loyalty Card.

IsoldeWagner · 15/04/2024 20:27

Blimey. This will be in Spare 2.

'The Vexatious Litigant Loyalty Card'

Love it

CathyorClaire · 15/04/2024 20:29

Ah, thanks.

As I said on the other thread though it might be a sweet gesture to take it out of the substantial savings he's made at the taxpayer's expense on the extremely generous Frog Cottage refurb/rental deal he managed to chisel.

Jam

The label isn’t stuck on properly 😆

Mylovelygreendress · 16/04/2024 08:37

I think you mean Limited edition Jam ( 17/50). Either they don’t anticipate selling many or this is some rare ingredient ( such as hard work?)

StiffyByngsDogBartholomew · 16/04/2024 08:40

Blimey. She'll have to flog industrial quantities of strawberry jam to support their lifestyle 😂

StiffyByngsDogBartholomew · 16/04/2024 08:41

Mind you if jam making will support a millionaire lifestyle in California maybe I'll start selling mine !

Make sure yours doesn’t have flappy labels then no always avoid the jar of expensive looking jam with a flappy label 😂

PilatesHippo · 16/04/2024 08:48

I saw some of these photos and just came in here 😀.

i would have loved to receive one of the baskets with lemon and strawberry jam. It looks really pretty - and DD loves both strawberry jam and lemons.

now I am actually really curious about how the jam tastes. I am quite picky with (especially strawberry) jam, should be a rich flavour, bits of berry and not too sweet….

I wonder if the ingredients are listed ? Is that mandatory in the US ?

StiffyByngsDogBartholomew · 16/04/2024 09:18

I don't know but if you are just giving them as this appears to be you don't have to here anyway

Yes. And where is the jam being made? Do they need a hygiene rating?🤷‍♀️

Well how are they going to make the money to pay for their security then? If they are trying to build a reputation before selling their produce, that’s going to take a while 😆. And then they will have to scale up production which will surely involve some sort of regulation

FlouncetteLaFroth · 16/04/2024 09:30

They won’t have to have security now.

They can use the other 49 jars of jam as missiles.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 16/04/2024 09:40

Why aren't the photoshop nutters all over that misaligned label, eh? That's what I want to know.
