She won’t be coming.

Well she and the DC can’t come or Harry loses credibility in his battle against the HO.

Both the battle and what remained of Harry's credibility have long since been lost.

Although they might be tucked in with the consignment of jam and sundries.

The leaking of a cease and desist letter from the likes of Flamingo Estate, followed swiftly by the Instagram announcement of ARO (I'm 99% sure the two things are linked in some legal-technicality way, given the arse-about-tits way ARO has gone about applying for trademarks), is precisely the sort of occurrence that will make serious business and entertainment people in LA run a million miles in the opposite direction of MM. And this after they've been publicly branded grifters, including with the leaking of Harry's pitch to Spotify. To me, they're done. It's only Harry's royalty they have left, until they can start grifting off their children's royalty.

I agree with you sadly. It’s an embarrassment, to launch a brand at a purposefully negative time to get more publicity, harry was on after William at rhe Diana awards, so it was done on purpose as they knew it would get the brand more publicity and headlines by linking it, but to have nothing behind it, and then also to have rumours of legal action as they were trying to copy an established business is a very poor show indeed.

did they just do it for the attention in the moment, to steal William’s thunder, or were they really thinking they could get away with stealing flamingo estates ip? Who knows, but there is nothing positive there.

Haven't a clue who Kelly Wearstler is but why does a slim, tall woman wear the most hideous boots ever. If we were going back to the days when Victorians put covers on piano legs lest anyone got ideas, these are what they'd use. Why???

Please Kelly, don't give it all to charity. Treat yourself to a new pair of boots or better still some nice shoes.

I don't think anyone knows what is going on behind the scenes. It could be a simple as products got stuck in the Panama canal!

@ShamedBySiri Kelly Wearstler is an interior designer in Hollywood, seen as v cool. She also sells expensive furniture, interiors and tableware, so another of ARO's competitors. Although I don't think there's any way Meghan can compete 😬

The Flamingo guy had a successful career in marketing / advertising / working with high-end brands. KW is a trained and very experienced award-winning designer and a businesswoman. I just can't see what Meghan offers compared to people like that. No comparable training or skills or experience, so just the name. And that's surely not the draw it was when they first arrived in America, they're so much less popular now and a bit of a laughing stock.

@MrsLeonFarrell - there's no way MM would pause anything for the sakes of KC or PoW. They'd maybe use as an excuse to make them / her look better.
My suspicions are she came up with this ARO idea when Flamingo 🦩 said no thanks and they filed it and quickly launched it to get Diana's name in the loop to monetise as much as possible

This may be Meghan's preferred explanation over "I fucked up again" but I don't think it works time wise? She launched it after Charles announced his diagnosis for a start. And it had already paused (ie no launch follow-up, no announcements, no products) before Kate made her announcement.

The 'not wanting to look opportunistic' ship sailed when she launched at the day and time she did.

Floating around in ball gowns is all very well but somewhere there needs to be a warehouse with low paid workers fulfilling orders, doing stock takes etc. Retail of any sort is very unglamorous. There will need to be many layers between Meghan's vision and the poor sods doing the work. It will be hard to make a profit.

Kelly Wearstler’s boots look rather cool to me, though it would not be something I could wear! The white fur photograph looks a bit fun. Megan Markle doesn’t have anything like that sense of style or humour.

I am still laughing at some of the one liners on this thread! But also serious points, e.g.@StartupRepair re-the hard graft and planning to get something like this off the ground

I had a very brief look at the video promoting ARO (life is too short to type out the whole name). I am puzzled by the woman in a ball gown standing in the shadows at the end of a long corridor. Is she coming back from a ball? Is she a tired Victorian hostess? Or a representative of a woman from past times, like the American Civil War? Or as one or two people have said, some still from a Gothic horror movie?

There is also an image of Megan in the kitchen, presumably making jam with her “pots and pans”. Should we write a letter? 😆

Don't go bringing common sense into it, Hughs - the timeline's already clear for anyone who cares to look, but I doubt that'll stop further attempts at spin

Watched it @QueenofTheBorg . Very amusing, as are some of the comments eg “looks like a medieval meth lab” 😂
