What exactly is "the Sussex Squad"?

Prydddan · 06/04/2024 14:56

I don't know whether this is too controversial a topic for such a thread to be allowed to stand. But I post in good faith on a topic I believe has a lot of social and political relevance.

Does the "Sussex Squad" actually exist? If so, how do you join? If not, do people ever identify as belonging to it?

If it exists, was it hijacked by SarahData and Bouzy or was it their creation? And, if so, to what extent?

Thanks in advance.

I must say I find their ways of working very intriguing. As a seasoned fence-sitter, I can’t imagine being such a superfan of anybody or any cause such that I was not only blind to their faults but ready to fight for them and see any detractor as a sworn enemy.

In fact for some it really seems like religious fervour. I guess some people will always be looking for a deity to worship. But worshipping at the altar of Meghan and Harry? I simply don’t understand!

That was what I found so confusing - I'd be lurking and reading and thinking 'But you're an avowed republican! why are you defending H&M and appear to be a supporter?'

This is a good point. I pointed out several times that I'm not on any team when it comes to royal bad behaviour. The majority are appalling in different ways in my view but there was so little balanced discussion to be had on H&M's bad behaviour and it got so downright nasty so quickly I just CBA to try.

I appreciate your posts. Zero hypocrisy ever.

At the heart of every cult is a mediocre, jealous, petty, mentally deranged, moral-free little man.

@@AliceOlive The house fire story has shown up several times on Reddit and the second comment on the Dan Wootton page mentions the fire. I view them as alleged stories since I can't find the details but commenters have said that 2 house were burned.

The fact that people think that SS will go as far as arson shows how much they terrify people. If they are actually burning down houses in the name of H & M , then I personally view them as domestic terrorists.

MummyJ12 · 20/04/2024 13:06

Here’s a link to the Dan Wooten page for anyone interested. I know he’s a divisive figure himself and absolutely has an agenda! However, I found it really informative and it explains a lot about how and why the SS has been so influential (if that’s the right word to use?!) and also how far up certain members of the SS have been or still are, inside the HQs of platforms such as Google and Facebook. It has a post on it that mentions one of the arson attacks.

The photo booth picture is an interesting one. I've seen similar poses with Meghan and previous partners. It's obviously a thing.

Thatsthewayitisnt · 20/04/2024 13:21

I find it quite scary that this sort of thing goes on without any repercussions. It’s like the dark web or something. It’s time M and H made a public statement denouncing their supporters tactics.

BemusedAmerican · 20/04/2024 13:26

I suspect that when Elon Musk cleaned house last month, he shut down any access that Bouzy had to personal info on X ( Bouzy worked for X when it was Twitter). I hope that Google and Meta are reviewing any access that Sarahdata has to account information.

BemusedAmerican · 20/04/2024 13:33

H & M have been documented meeting with people who openly called themselves the SS. Archewell accepted a number of small donations ( I think they showed up in the 2022 filing,) from small donors. SS has been know to fundraise.

BemusedAmerican · 20/04/2024 13:35

No way of knowing who the small donations came from, and H & M could have just thought they were meeting superfans.

I have said as much in other posts, I would imagine our Security Services have the Sewer squad on a watch list as they could pose a possible threat to the security of the Wales family in particular as they are the centre of the hatred, it only takes on deranged member based here that could cause serious harm.

The idea that you’re in a “team” is from the Sussex Squad playbook.

It’s very obvious that the majority of posters don’t buy that narrative, and post about each and any member of the RF, have done for decades (this topic has existed for a dozen years and there are plenty of Royal themed threads before that) and the content reflects what’s been happening. So criticism for poor decisions and actions, approbation for positive ones, and who gets what depends on what they say and do

themessygarden · 20/04/2024 16:12

Someone posted an insulting response to another poster recently using the term 'Salty isle', not sure if it was on this thread, but is a well known phrase from Sussex Squad / Celebitchy, it's how they refer to the UK. They walk among us LOL.

BemusedAmerican · 20/04/2024 16:26

@Devonisheaven I am worried about the average US person who has no access to security. It actually makes me very nervous to post about the SS.

Thatsthewayitisnt · 20/04/2024 16:29

The whole thing is driving a hatred of Britain. Why Harry isn’t doing something about that is anyone’s guess. Sounds like he’s not so fond of his home country after all.

Runnerinthenight · 20/04/2024 16:29

EdithWeston · 20/04/2024 10:36

I think there were a fair few who had got sucked in to the awful manufactured rumours about the Waleses and felt shame when they were demonstrated to be utterly false, so of course stopped posting

I'm a bit more cynical about that tbh. I don't think shame is in their playbook. I notice a couple have come crawling back too.

I can imagine it making you nervous though there are some prolific US based YouTubers who actively speak out against them, they have to deal with the onslaught from the Sewer Squad so I hope that makes you less nervous.

BemusedAmerican · 20/04/2024 17:15

I don't think Harry is loyal to anyone but himself.

I perceive it as more of a semi-tanned saunter, now that the weather has turned bad again.

I can't ask him about it because he's too discreet, but I have a friend who works for the Met. He's a senior mental health nurse who assesses and treats those with obsessions about the Royal family.

For example, people who fly in to the weddings because they think that the bride or groom is in love with them. People who think they're secret love children. And yes, people with violent intentions. He has to treat and assess their motivations etc - if they're under the influence of other people, of they've been catfished, if they're seriously mentally unwell (the Queen dying was very hard on those who thought that they were the rightful Queen).

We were actually supposed to visit them the weekend after the Queen died, but all his leave was cancelled until after the funeral.

CathyorClaire · 20/04/2024 20:26

It’s time M and H made a public statement denouncing their supporters tactics.

Off the top of my head and in no particular order - troubling things Harold has stayed silent on while flapping his gums freely about pretty much everything else:

The mysterious shooting of protected birds of prey

Visible injuries to his polo pony

African Parks

Gurning joyfully over a shot water buffalo

Endgame

The Royal racist controversy

I'm not holding my breath for comment on the more deranged end of his online supporters.

Thatsthewayitisnt · 20/04/2024 20:28

No I’m not either. I said that tongue in cheek really.
