I wish I hadn't, but I did look on 'Celebitchy', as mentioned by a previous poster and it was indeed like looking under a stone. The level of moronic, brain-washed propaganda on there (not to mention spite and vitriol) is truly unhinged. One contributor made a moderate remark on the lines that possibly the SS had misjudged a situation...and wow, the venom that was spouted at them for even suggesting that the SS might be wrong about anything! Very scary.
I used to read Celebitchy years ago. Her hatred of Catherine started long before Meghan. You can even find hate articles about Kate going back to 2007-2008. William and Catherine weren't even married at the time
Meghan arrived and she was the perfect person to root for against Kate. She's not really a Meghan fan. She's just a Kate hater. Very weird woman. Imagine spending 17 years blogging every day about someone you hate.
Of course, I don't know for sure but it did seem to be very US dominated and
it was upsetting for me because it just confirmed my view that H & M have damaged the UK's image in the eyes of the world - the comments were very anti-British, never mind anti-royal. Now I know that the demographic on Celebitchy is probably a narrow one, but it's still horrible to read that your country is seen as a hotbed of racism.
I wouldn't take Celebitchy seriously but there's no denying that H&M's shenanigans have put the UK in a bad light in the eyes of the world.
The blogger, Chandra, is half Indian
And many other European countries are far less tolerant of all kinds of racial and cultural differences than the UK.
Absolutely. I'm French and British but my parents are Black immigrants. I grew up between France and England and yes, these countries are not perfect by far but I've traveled to many countries and I wouldn't change my nationality for anything. Traveling and hearing people's experiences of being black in certain countries has really been eye-opening: from black people all over Latin America, where those communities rarely get recognized at all. Some act like they don't even exist when there are black people in ever country in Latin America, black people in Eastern Europe: I went to Russia once and a few people were taking my picture,...
I think, above all, that's what I most resent about H & M: the accusations of racism they slung at the UK and the RF (all later retracted). It's in the interest of lots of countries and organisations hostile to this country to jump on that, and ignore any of the retractions from H & M and I just can't forgive them for it. What it must have been like for the individuals named (Catherine and KC) I can only try to imagine. Personally, I'd never recover from that attack on my character.
Honestly, this is the main reason I just can't with these two.
The nastiness of the Sussex Squad got amplified after the Oprah interview. Catherine was the number one target. She and William were receiving death threats only for Harry to come back 2 years later and say that they're not racist.
The hate Harry is receiving is nothing compared to the vitriol William has received from the Squad these past few years. If anything, what people mostly say about him is that he's stupid and being manipulated by his wife.
There's been so many conspiracy theories and crazy rumours about William. I even think it started damaging his reputation outside of the UK a little bit.
Someone on reddit said something so true earlier today:
"per harry's recollections, if he and william never got along well and never liked each other much in the first place, how the fuck was he ever expecting catherine and meghan to get along and 'befriend' each other?? how the fuck does that even make sense??
and because that 'befriending' didn't happen, catherine and william are meant to be endlessly retaliated against and meant to be publically treated like some sort of serial killers for the rest of their days??"
