Thank you. She’s finding it very difficult, especially with having children young enough to need their mum for a long time yet, but old enough to understand she is very sick. Selfishly, I’m devastated I may lose my best friend of 25 years and can’t comprehend life without her.

I’m pleased to hear your friend has got the all clear, a big relief for her and her and her loved ones for sure. It gives me hope.

It was an attempt to mock Meghan. If people want to do that, whatever. I just said the linked Meghan thread wasn’t a nice thread as a pp had said it was. I went over there hoping for a nice thread and that wasn’t what I saw. It seemed bitchy. Mumsnet posted on the thread about the derailing and asked posters to stop so it was derailing.

Mocking, bitchiness and derailing may not compare to claims of allegations of domestic violence, comas, pegging etc but they’re still unpleasant. Unpleasantness comes in many forms. We haven’t all joined in with those things though. Kate was ill and I found it to be in bad taste even before the poor woman announced she had cancer. Some people are arseholes, including some on this thread.
