And think about how you or anyone else can establish identity of a person you've never met on a grainy pap or CCTV image.

This is why the Police spend so much time chasing false sightings of missing persons that weeks/months/ years later are confirmed to have died years ago because their bodies are found. And they died months/years before yet the Police were managing false sightings all that time.

The BBC or any news agency are not allowed to show manipulated footage as you well know due to the Mother’s Day fiasco, so to say the BBC showed manipulated footage is ludicrous. It was Kate and William deal with it.

If chemo was only used to clear remnant cells, the surviving rate of cancer would be much higher on all cancer types.

It doesn't work like that. Medical advances have been huge in the last few years but doctors can't still predict how certain cancers behave.

None of us have any idea about Catherine's type of cancer. What we know is that she had major surgery in January, and she's now having chemo, which is a serious cancer treatment with too many side effects.

I won't speculate more on this issue.

Last weekend allegedly a dark haired Kate was seen looking years younger and healthy. Yesterday she was seen with lighter hair and looking very unwell. The bbc are using an image that is alleged to be Kate not confirmed- that is the difference. If it was unconfirmed like the Mother's Day photo they would not be using it.

I'm not sure if it was or wasn't Kate, however the BBC wasn't allowed to show the photograph as it was an official Palace release which was manipulated. The video isn't an official Palace release so they are allowed to show it with the caveat they can say "there are reports of them being seen" or the like. AFAIK there's only been a statement confirming that they have been to the farm shop, not that the video has been confirmed to be them.

Because she’s made a choice in that video about how to present herself. She’s chosen the no make up, pale and vulnerable look. I’m not saying that isn’t how she’s feeling, or that she doesn’t deserve our sympathy. But this is a woman who turned herself out in full make up & totally glammed up hours after giving birth. She absolutely could have done the same for this video - but that wasn’t the image she wanted to portray this time.

The broadcasters were all using that video yesterday alongside their commentary after the POW video had been shown. They would hardly have done so if they did not believe it featured her and her husband.

There are some who cannot for whatever reason believe that she was the woman in the video. There are many many others, including broadcasters, who can see that it is her.

She didn't look very unwell to me. Utter BS. My relative has stage 4 cancer and its spread, fungating and she near is near the end occording to Mil. When she puts her wig and make up she is extremely breathtakingly beautiful. Anyone would second look she is extraordinarily beautiful. When she is wigless and make up free she is stunning. Your only clue she is ill is no hair.

Whatever she did she'd be picked apart, especially her appearance, because there's a nasty misogyny where a worrying amount of people feel the need to criticise and pick apart women's bodies.

The birth thing is another example. Not looking immaculately groomed, there'd be circles of shame and people being nasty about a postpartum woman (remember that even when she is dressed up some people are weirdly obsessed with identifying any similarities between her outfits and Diana's outfits). If she didn't do the photo opportunity some people would be complaining: doesn't she know that Barbara and Steve think they have a personal relationship with her and they need the baby photos!? If she did the obligatory press moment, it gets thrown back at her when she's recovering from surgery and undergoing cancer treatment.

It's underlying misogyny and gossip from people who think a woman in the royal family is public property.

Yes. Somehow having the not very well defined in modern society 'privileged' status means women who would otherwise consider themselves feminists indulge in extremely misogynistic views of women's appearance and life choices.

Because apparently feminism doesn't apply if the social media victim has money and/or a social media platform.

Just FYI this is what she was facing as she left the hospital with newborn George. Maybe she felt she needed to be totally glammed up to help deal with that onslaught? Maybe the fact that she’d have just a couple of people with her to film yesterday’s video message in the garden meant she felt she didn’t need the glam? Maybe she couldn’t face making polite conversation to a makeup artist? You have no idea, and let’s face it, will never walk any distance in anything like her shoes .Leave her be.

I think she looked pale in that interview but, if she has already started her treatment, then that's to be expected. I often think that to slap makeup on someone who is unwell can just end up with them looking like a pantomime dame (even with professional application) so maybe the decision was made to keep things natural.

She looks thin- but she always does and yes she looks pale but that's because we are used to seeing her with a full face of slap. I'm 3 stone overweight so it's not as if I think ultra thin is the norm - stop obsessing about how someone looks, we now know she isn't well and having chemo @FrancisSeaton so what's your point?
