I actually hope this isn't true. It's one thing I've always admired of the Sussexes, that they have (generally) protected their children's privacy very effectively.

I hope its not related to the new commercial venture.

Mymilkshake you forgot to mention the court processes Scobie knew about within minutes, leading Justice Warby to say "The inference invited is that he had been provided with a copy by representatives of the claimant ... This seems very likely"

And yet despite this - not to mention Meghan's lie to the court about collaborating - there are still some who insist H&M barely know who he is

@Puzzledandpissedoff you are of course correct. And let's see, Scobie was one of only 3 (I think) handpicked journalists who were allowed to attend MM's last engagement as a working royal. And she kindly phoned him when he was ill to check if he was ok. I bet the other royal correspondents don't get that sort of treatment.

And only two people could have leaked the contents of the correspondence between MM and Prince/King Charles to Scobie. I'm guessing it wasn't Charles.

And who else but the only 4 people in the car - William, Catherine, Meghan and Harry - knew that they drove back to Windsor in silence after the royal walkabout following QEII's death, and leaked that to Scobie for Endgame? IT wasn't going to be W&C now, was it?

Apparently he went freelance in 2017, but still contributes to Harper's Bazaar, Yahoo News and ABC in the US - plus of course his puerile dribblings on Twitter, which I only see reported on here because I've got it blocked

Whether any of those will cease using him remains to be seen, but I doubt it; his repulsive style is hardly unknown and presumably they at least enjoy it

Edited to add that deleting remarks hardly makes much difference - not once other media/individuals have taken screenshots

So it seems pretty clear he isn't a spokesperson for them, since its now reported a spokesperson for them has released their statement wishing kate well and that spokesperson clearly isn't scobie.

You can have more than one spokesperson...

Can’t believe the nerve of this couple “the Sussexes”, with the health troubles of the royal family to try and steal some airspace at this time.

They should go and live their private lives in obscurity without dragging out the titles that the royal family have gifted them.
