Photoshoot for the Sussex Children?

1000 replies

MrsFinkelstein · 21/03/2024 16:03

I actually hope this isn't true. It's one thing I've always admired of the Sussexes, that they have (generally) protected their children's privacy very effectively.

I hope its not related to the new commercial venture.

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Meghan Markle has photoshoot of Archie and Lilibet

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: The photo-shoot, at Prince Harry and Meghan's mansion in Montecito, coincided with the launch of Meghan's lifestyle and cookery brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Does no one else notice the amount of bullying between posters on MN these days? The sheer level of rudeness, venom and nastiness is shocking. This is what is happening everywhere these days. People used to try to have some manners, act with a some courtesy and consideration toward one another. Since Covid in particular the division and name calling, the spite and nastiness has become truly appalling. You only have to look at the DM to see how the media fuel this every day. We all need to start with ourselves.

It’s possible to have discussions with differing views without the outright hostility and shaming that goes on . It’s called DEBATE.

The whole situation with Kate has been like a group of fish wives fuelled by glee at taking someone else down . It’s absolutely horrible.

As you can read in my post, it was the Meghan fans/Sussex Squad who made that direct comparison: They were saying that William does not love or support Kate because she made an important speech on her own! They posted pictures of Harry and Meghan on a bench and said a “proper” devoted husband would have sat at his wife’s side, holding onto her hand. I am merely pointing out that most women in their 40s (certainly those that consider themselves feminists) would not consider that an attractive or desirable scenario.

Frankly, if Kate had delivered that speech with William sitting beside her attentively holding her hand I would have assumed her situation was absolutely hopeless.

themessygarden · 23/03/2024 07:20

The Bouzy guy, the one who appeared on the Sussex netflix series, a 'fan' of the Sussexes and whose shit the Sussexes obviously value, considering the airtime they gave him on their major netflix show, is one of the ones spewing about Catherine 'having' to do the video alone and throwing insults at William, having quickly deleted all the insults he has been throwing at Catherine over the past few weeks.

The Sussexes themselves opened the floodgates for Catherine and William being targets and gave a platform for the craziest of their 'fans' to say whatever they wanted, true or not.

People saying he should have been with her are also forgetting that it’s possible he may have found it too hard to do that. It must be affecting him hugely as well. He is human after all and he has not just his wife’s illness but his father’s too to contend with. Sometimes it’s easier for the person who is
unwell to be calm and clear thinking, whereas their loved ones find it difficult to cope. This isn’t some schmalzy movie where the star crossed lovers hold hands and vow to look in to each others eyes forever or some such bollocks. This is real life. And it’s messy and harsh sometimes

I think sometimes people find it puzzling when those in the public eye seek privacy or don't emote and overshare. I think this is what's happened to Kate. Being reserved, having dignity, wanting privacy is quite a rare currency nowadays and it seems to have gone against her for some reason.

I think this is partly why I feel compelled to defend her - because she would never stoop to defending herself.

I have so much admiration for her quiet dignity, it’s become a rare quality in our age of emotional incontinence and online gossip

Exactly. She behaves with dignity and grace . It’s a rare thing these days.

Yes, let's not forget that while all this has been going on with his beloved wife, Willaim has a sick father too and the prospect/fear of having to take up the biggest role of his life without their support and judgment.

He's also been accused of being lazy and workshy - both he and Catherine have. Time and time again, some of us have pointed out that spending more time being present for their children in their pre-adult years they will never get back is massively important to them. For William in particular who didn't have his mum to guide him though his older teens, and whose father was probably not as present as he could/should have been. And because they are in the job until the die. They don't get to retire. Now Catherine is seriously ill, can anyone say she and William didn't make the right decision?

And the rest of the accusations. The pegging. The DV. The affair. By many many hate driven SM sugars, many many posters on this site, hinted at in major publications like the Independent and blatantly talked about by no less than an internationally renowned talk show host on his globally screened show. Imagine watching your wife go through the ordeal of the operation and diagnosis and subsequent harassment with all that background noise; imagine watching your husband being accused of the worst stuff you can imagine in a marriage and knowing the only way to shut it up is to violate your own privacy.

I don't have time for anyone minimising all that vile, clearly outlandish spew as a "difference of opinion".

IsoldeWagner · 23/03/2024 08:34

Absolutely awful, milkshake .
Accused of being workshy, lazy, having an affair, fathering a friend's daughter etc when he's been going through this. Vile. Someone on here even gave him a "slow handclap". Nasty.

That dignity and grace, devotion to duty and never complaining has been branded as her being a "Stepford Wife". Of lacking in star quality and media friendly savvy. Of being dull and frumpy. Of not being a modern enough woman. We all knew who said it and who supported it.

Such a coward. Doesn't want to stand by his own statements. He's a tech CEO isn't he? He should know nothing posted online can be disappeared that easily. And them now going after Catherine's announcement of her cancer goes to show that these crazy fuckers will not stop. Nothing will stop them. No proofs of life, photos or videos, evidence of the ring being worn by C, smiling like an idiot in the car, not any of it will have stopped them. All the bleating about KP comms, and if only they had just done this or that. Bullshit. Bullshit would anything have stopped them.

IsoldeWagner · 23/03/2024 08:54

At least Owen Jones and Blake Lively have spoken of their regret about being so nasty, judgemental and cruel. Maybe others will? Who knows.

@IsoldeWagner I didn't even clock that Owen Jones had thrown in his tuppence worth, but I'm not surprised. Robespierre for the middle classes.

Well at least he's apologised for all the nasty comments, so that's something.

Yes if one thing comes from this it shows that it's not big and it's not clever to get swept up in conspiracy theories and to add your penny worth. It looks embarrassing , shows what a pitiless person you are and in fact shows how much of a gloater you are. My husband said today " there are some people who only get happiness in life by gloating over other people's misfortunes" and yes that seems to be true. They then look for some excuse to remove themselves from their previous statements because they have shown their ugly real selves. A few like Owen Jones step in and try to salvage themselves but people have seen their true faces and thoughts.
