How do you know what I am thinking? My comments on the case have been focused on the PR campaign which I felt was very poorly managed and opened her to far more stress than necessary.

And guess what - it wasn’t a divorce, an affair, domestic violence, a secret pregnancy, laziness, fake photos or lookalike conspiracies - any of the sensational and ridiculous things that were being by posters.

It was what we were told - abdominal surgery, recovery, and now we know, a setback. But that was never going to be good enough for some people….

I think you’ll find the majority of people were saying ‘She’s recovering from surgery, she should be left in peace’. Few people were saying ‘there’s nothing wrong’ - she’d had surgery involving a 2 week stay in hospital and an estimated 3 month recovery period. It was pretty obvious something wasn’t right. People were just pointing out the crazy speculation about her health, her marriage and her mental state, with the many implications she was lying or having plastic surgery, was unsavoury.

Banging on as though you’re the only one who saw the light and the rest of us are naive fools for respecting her privacy isn’t making you look clever, it’s making you look really unpleasant and is showing you have zero empathy.

Mirabel is singing ‘Told you so’ in an annoying whine, and pretending they were right when they were actually trying to force someone to reveal private medical information before they were ready.

I have sympathy with those who have felt nothing but sympathy throughout and have been able not to question and wonder. I have sympathy with those who have questioned and wondered too.

I hope it's possible to come together and admire Kate for the strength it took to say what she had to say in a clear unwavering voice and to wish her well.

Jesus. Know when to stop! She's a young mother of three children who's had a shock cancer diagnosis - funnily enough, her instinct wasn't to share it with the world but to take care of them. There's no conspiracy, just a woman in a terrible situation wanting a bit of privacy.
