Let’s demand the CCTV footage from the farm shop. Eh? Wink wink. A couple of clips, sold to the highest bidder could double the turnover for the whole of 2024 that place. Amirite?

I wonder who is this Nelson Silva person. The Nelson Silva who works for Lego and lives nearby said it is not him:

If she has had cosmetic surgery it'll be the ultimate downfall of the RF.

Once she's properly back in the public eye her face is going to be scrutinised. Expect videos from cosmetic surgeons etc analysing her face and what if anything she's had done.

If the consensus is that she's obviously had work done on her face then the natural assumption will be that the abdominal surgery line was a lie. Nothing they ever say or do would ever be believed again.

theothercatpurred · 20/03/2024 12:27

Do you know what's different about this image of Kate and all other images I've seen of her:

She's not wearing makeup. I'm not sure I've ever seen Kate not wearing makeup in public before, have you?

Surely everyone here knows people can look significantly different without their usual makeup on.

If they were trying to pass someone off as Kate, surely they would use Kate's normal style of makeup to complete the look, not send a double out fresh faced.

Also, it's a grainy shot probably from a great distance, which may well result in her looking odd in it. Have you never had a picture of yourself that's captured you at an odd angle and doesn't look quite like you?

If it was a series of well shot images that looked totally different, fair enough. But all this speculation over such a poor quality image is nonsense IMO. People want it to be a conspiracy!

@TinnitusEar but it does have something to do with peoples lives because £86.3 million of public money was spent on the Royal Family last year. So, whatever you think, there is a very legitamte arguement to question how accountable to the public should the Royal Family be. There is an additional argument that being such a powerful institution, they should be held accountable for the information they put out.

I personally don't give two hoots about Kate Middleton. But you can't say that other people shouldn't care or question the authenticity of what information the palace is putting out.

We dont' all want to doff our caps and tug our forelocks.

As you say, it's a grainy shot from a great distance. How on earth can you tell whether she's wearing make up or not? We can't even make out her face properly

Here is the photo off Twitter. Looks like someone HAS altered it to look like it's not Kate. Weird !!! Confused

Edited

I thought the same. The photos I had seen earlier looked like Kate, then this one was published. I immediately knew someone had photoshopped someone else’s face on it to start conspiracy theories. It’s all bonkers 🤪 Just like the people on Twitter claiming Meghan was never pregnant.

Josette77 · 20/03/2024 11:49

How does she look significantly younger in a grainy video from a distance??? Lol

And yet most people on this thread claim to be 100% it’s her - from a grainy video taken at a distance of a person they haven’t seen in several months. Can’t have it both ways.

GoonieGang · 20/03/2024 12:33

It’s Kate but extremely thin. Abdominal surgery can leave you looking a bag of bones 🤷‍♀️

wombat15 · 20/03/2024 12:36

It doesn't look like her and I don't think anyone has officially said it is her. Therefore you don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to think either it isn't her or she looks very different.

Everyone but the most gullible idiots knows that something is obviously up with the official line. And I agree it’s probably something minor like cosmetic surgery which they didn’t want people to know about, as opposed to something major. But as you say, even if it’s something relatively insignificant, in hindsight the deflection and gaslighting will not go down well.

Her face would also be thinner.

I am not able to discern the severity of her abdominal surgery, we have been told her recovery would take until after Easter so we are all assuming that it must have been significant. I didn't say it would be "apparent" just by looking at her, you are misquoting me, which is the danger of posting on Mumsnet and why I don't post much because of the risk of angry people saying I am being ridiculous. However, if Kate has had a face lift I suspect most of us will notice 😀

Apparently a local film producer took the photo and video! One wonders if he hired impersonators for a laugh!
Of all the people there not a single person took a photo but one London based film producer who happened to travel all the way to a farm shop in Berkshire or wherever like there aren't any shops in London.

This has been debunked. The Sun has written an article interviewing the man who took the video. He is Portuguese and an engineer. This is the problem with social media, someone does some amateur sleuthing, get their facts wrong but their post has already spread rapidly across social media.

TooningOut · 20/03/2024 12:40

@Helensburghmiddleagedmum I think you're spot on.

I know I'd be able to tell if someone has had a blepharoplasty and buccal fat removal. These are two procedures she'd be a good candidate for at the moment. @CorylusAgain

She's very beautiful, don't get me wrong, but she must feel immense pressure to look perfect. I know I'd get both of those procedures done if I had the money and I'm the same age as her!

Do you think Kate needed cosmetic surgery then? Did she need a facelift? Is it really likely that she has had cosmetic surgery?

I would say it is thinner and her legs are too

The vast majority of A list celebrities would surely want to stage their public reappearance so that the media can get a proper “flattering” or at least well presented shot of them - rather than the near certainty of a random Joe Bloggs taking an unflattering angle of them with messy hair etc.

Again, if she had had cosmetic surgery, why did she decide to suddenly get it done, meaning she had to cancel an overseas tour? That’s not very good planning is it? Isn’t it more likely she had to suddenly have a medical procedure carried out?

I think it's an extremely fair assumption to say that neither surgeon would be happy combining serious abdominal surgery with cosmetic surgery. I don't need access to medical records for that. It doesn't matter how monied the patient is, the medical profession has its own standards and guidelines.

Bletchers · 20/03/2024 12:50

The Sun has actually employed a Kate lookalike/body double called Gabriella Munro-Dunkley (now Douglas) before.

That’s not Kate. No way!
ChatBFP · 20/03/2024 12:50

@smilesy

No, i don't think Kate needs surgery. But equally, if you look at the last Remembrance Day and commonwealth pictures and asked yourself whether Kate looks her age you'd say yes. Great still, but her age. Posters have posted the photos of Kate playing rugby taken at a distance, in which she very naturally looks younger. It must be very difficult to be photographed in granular detail all the time and many people don't like ageing. Touching up and soft focusing all your family photos is a bit of a giveaway in terms of being a natural perfectionist
