Posters on various threads have commented on the difference between the relative openness of Charles and the relative caginess of Kate and have suggested that it's partly because he is head of state, so we have more of a right to know.

The other big difference between them is that she has young children and he doesn't. There is a possibility that she has something very serious, life-changing or even life-limiting, so they are being very careful about what they tell the children and when. In that case I can understand that they would not want speculation in the press and on social media about her condition and supposed prognosis. Maybe they are trying to avoid the children seeing headlines like TRAGIC KATE'S KIDNEY FAILURE - PRINCESS MAY HAVE JUST MONTHS TO LIVE

Plus endless comparisons with her MIL, speculation about who William would marry next, whether Harry and Meghan would come to Kate's funeral, was this caused by the stress of being labelled racist, or could this be the turning point for the brothers etc etc etc etc etc
I mean it's bad now but this scenario would be so much worse if you're trying to protect DC.

So maybe it would be better and kinder for now to assume that the family is going through something pretty shitty and leave them to it. If not, I'm sure she'll be right as rain soon enough and everyone can go back to speculating about her marriage, mental health, eating disorder, laziness, poor public speaking, Botox, choice of university, hair, dress sense, parents, children, sister, piano playing etc etc

And no one is asking for all the details. We do not have all the details of Charles cancer. Charles cancer may be easily treatable or terminal, we have no idea. But he has explained why he is not doing public engagements and is still working.

It's definitely weird that the video is so short and not very clear.
I know they would rather not. But they are mega famous and it shouldn't be a big deal that someone sneaks a video/ pictures of them occasionally outside engagements.

Many posters have speculated that she won't be fully recovered by Easter. Many have speculated that she's not even ill, but negotiating the terms of a divorce. It's just pointless and nasty. And KP has explained why she is off work and not doing public engagements.

All they needed to do was what Charles has done. One actual and clear photo without photoshop or anything weird. literally one clear photo. The fact we haven’t had that is just so bloody odd.

One in the car with her mother - taken from a very long way away with a telephoto lens. Will always be grainy.

One taken by a photographer with little to no notice (the car had just turned the corner into the road on which the photographer was positioned) when she happened to be looking out of the window. This was chance - the photographer wasn’t even expecting Kate to be in the car.

One video by someone using their iPhone from 10-15 metres away. The press have then zoomed into the footage, resulting it it becoming grainy. This is normal.

The one planned image they released was a clear photo, but was photoshopped. We therefore don’t know how much of the image of her was photoshopped.

The latter was the only official images released. The others were chance. I don’t find it unlikely that chance images are not focussed perfectly, and/or don’t happen to get their subject looking at the lens.
