Why would the Sun risk their, ahem, reputation by faking a video? That has destroyed newspapers and editors before now. I don't think it's unfeasible that someone else has been mucking about and sold on the footage though - a lot of money to be made.

I don't know whether to believe it's really her or not, after all the faked, staged and misrepresented images of the last couple of weeks. If it is her, then the puffy woman in her mother's car really can't also be. But if it is, then that's good obviously. It does look a bit like a Crimewatch reconstruction though.

Either way, I can't understand all the people saying she looks well and healthy. To my eye she looks skeletally thin and like she's moving fast to get her perp walk over as quickly as possible. I assume she collapsed into a car the moment the camera stopped rolling.

If the palace wanted to convince us she needs to be left alone to recuperate, it works for me tbh. She looks like she needs to sit in front of the telly for a month with a intravenous supply of hot cross buns.

all the shop had was the baby Soreen loaf. I’m not long back from work and it might be a bit rich for bed time.

Businesses operating CCTV systems need to comply with Data Protection law and only pass on/share the footage for legitimate purposes. Making a fast buck from the Sun newspaper is unlikely to be one of them.

I think the gait isn’t right compared to previous footage of her either.
The thing is tomorrow, people will analyse the gait to check if it’s either, both or neither of them…
I honestly think this footage may have made things even worse…

Mainstream papers in the UK generally don’t publish pictures of the royals taken without their consent in their private lives. Hence why no UK papers published the photos taken of Carole and Kate in the car a few weeks back. (Before you ask, William and Kate in the car driving on a public highway on their way to a public engagement - on William’s part at least - is a different kettle of fish).

I imagine the Sun has decided that there’s a strong public interest argument in publishing this video once TMZ put it in the global public domain. Other papers may not do so - it will be an editorial decision for each of them.

I don't think it's fake but I do think it's staged. The idea that this was just taken by a random member of the public seems ludicrous to me, under the circumstances.

And for sure imo she was aware she was being filmed. No one beams incessantly when they're feeling unwell, or even when they aren't, while tilting their head towards a camera they don't know is there.
