They knew that announcing Meghan's new venture would be big news. So they dropped it 45 minutes before William was due to speak yesterday evening. At an awards ceremony dedicated to harry and William's mother's memory.

But that wasn't good enough. Oh no. They then announced the winner of their own awards. While the Diana awards were still going on and Prince William was handing out prizes.

Is there no level this petty, bitter couple won't sink to?!

There are many many people in the US who went to university who are living in 1 bedroom apartments.

Meghan pulled herself up by her own bootstraps? Hardly. She didn't exactly come from a poor background, private school and supported at uni by the dad, uncle got her internship etc.

Kate’s dad was (I believe?) a Baronet and their family had become millionaires, and the whole aristocratic set still sneered at them.

Thomas Markle was an award winning lighting director, not a camera man. Whatever you think of him personally (and I am not condoning his later actions), he was a well off man, and Meghan had a comfortable childhood.

What I’ve noticed over the last few months is William and Catherine don’t actually have many fans as such. What they have is people who hate Megan and Harry. all their ‘fans’ talk about is Megan and Harry.

If you don’t think they have fans, why do you connect people that are H&M detractors with W&K at all?

1. Camilla. Queen of Hearts. Slightly tipsy right now. She's fired right in to the monster munch.
2. Anne. Princess Of Anne. Think she's getting an early night for the rugby. If not, also having a chardonnay and a 20 deck of Rothmans.
3. Meghan or Kate. Whichever one we're talking about here. Looked lovely in her wedding dress.
