Indeed.
KP issued a fake photo as “proof of life” purportedly to quell the increasingly out of control speculation about Kate’s whereabouts, speculation which was the direct result of KP’s gaslighting the public about what’s going on with Kate. A display of gross mismanagement and arrogance from the KP comms team which compares unfavourably to the approach BP took with King Charles’ illness.
Not only did KP issue a fake photo (then blame Kate), they issued one in which Kate wasn’t wearing her wedding rings. Let that sink in for a moment, as a cunning plan to quell rumours and speculation.
Given this context, anyone surprised or outraged that the William affair rumours have resurfaced is…. ahem… misjudging the way rumours and gossip work in today’s SM and click bait age?…
Of course, KP have 100% brought this on themselves. Or correction, onto the principals they are supposed to protect:Kate, William, the other aristos in question.
Responsibility starts and stops with KP and the dog’s breakfast they’ve made of communicating around Kate’s illness and recovery.
I suspect the press are well aware of this, and are piling even more pressure on them, with, indeed, unfortunate collateral damage.
