Why do royal reporters bully a child but ask for respect for an adult?

Meghan was in labour - perhaps when they said that she was in the very final stages.

I love that you have to make false assumptions to justify your position. Because no, they didn’t make the announcement until they were already home.

Serenster · 13/03/2024 06:41

Oh no, not the royal tradition! That must always be followed

I didn’t say that. But you decide to thumb your nose at a tradition, you can expect to get pushback.

NatureDay · 13/03/2024 06:41

That's not Meghan, it's Samantha!

Okay, so what?

If Kate posting totally false pictures is fine, so is this.

But you don’t think Kate posting photoshopped pictures is fine. So why do you argue this is fine?

concernedchild · 13/03/2024 06:34

But those were the motivations. Why does Kate get privacy but Meghan gets thrown to the wolves?

Well, Kate isn't getting privacy is she? Look at the lunatics online who are making up the most outlandish claims about where she is and what is supposedly going on.

concernedchild · 13/03/2024 06:50

Because one is a statement to protect the privacy of a new mother. The other is a lie to cover up something far more sinister, and multiple photoshopped photos have now been released. Clearly, the press didn't mind the statement. But they're sure upset by these pictures and KP have lost all trust.

concernedchild · 13/03/2024 06:51

The only reason people are saying such things about Kate is the pure dishonesty from day one.

Serenster · 13/03/2024 06:53

No, they really did mind the statement, actually! And yes, the Sussexes lost all trust from the press. A lot of stories started coming out after the Sussexes deliberately baited the press after Archie’s birth.

(Also, just noting, we have no idea whether the photo published on Sunday was completely fake, or just a collage stitched together from a burst of images of the family all shot at the same time. If the latter).

It's entirely fake. The picture of Kate is from the vogue shoot.

But you think that's fine.

Inkanta · 13/03/2024 06:55

Come on Serenster that's enough now.

pubblehopper · 13/03/2024 06:56

'The dishonesty from day one' ???

They explained she had major abdominal surgery, they said she would have 3 months sick leave, and would return after easter, they asked for privacy for the family. Don't know how you can find something dishonest in that.

Serenster · 13/03/2024 06:56

Okay, concernedchild, if that’s what you think. Have fun!

Explain the motorcade on December 28th heading to the hospital.

The fact that William was only pictured visiting the london clinic once during her "ten day stay".

The fact there's no evidence of Kate working from bed like they said she would.

The photo of "her" in the car. The edited photo. The photo of her and William, which includes a picture of Kate from their trip to the Somme in 2016.

pubblehopper · 13/03/2024 06:58

I think a lot of posters here are curtain twitchers in real life. Wouldn't want them as my neighbours.

I don't think they should have released an edited picture but what's the evidence it's covering up something more "sinister" than just the fact that she's very unwell and recovering from surgery and doesn't want to be photographed?

CrispsandCheeseSandwich · 13/03/2024 07:03

Multiple photoshopped pictures of Kate?

concernedchild · 13/03/2024 07:04

As Meghan was told, we pay, you pose.

She's nearly two months down the line from the surgery now. She could have posted a natural picture for Mother's Day and nobody would have batted an eyelid. But the dishonesty has meant people will question everything.

CurlewKate · 13/03/2024 07:05

@iwafs "Nobody is asking Meghan's medical history I don't think?"

Have you forgotten the speculation about her pregnancy "Look, there are the straps of her false belly" and around the birth of the first baby?

Serenster · 13/03/2024 07:11

Have you forgotten the speculation about her pregnancy "Look, there are the straps of her false belly" and around the birth of the first baby?

That speculation is online, yes. But it has 100% never been reported by any reputable media agency. Not even as a rumour.

Salemforcuddles · 13/03/2024 07:11

Surely both women should have been afforded some privacy x

It was. Multiple times. By multiple news outlets.

Serenster · 13/03/2024 07:13

Do show us then, I’d be interested to see it.

Did you miss the multiple daily mail headlines reporting about it? Or will you change the goalposts now to say that they don't count.
