I am as anti-royalist as they come, but even I am intrigued. I think the explanation is simple though. I had a hysterectomy in December, and it took me a while to recover, though all went well. I would not have liked photos.

I think she has had one, and perhaps there were complications, so she didn't want photos.

Oh well it will all come out in the wash as they say. Only a few weeks until Easter which is when she’s meant to be making a public appearance. Gives the RF 3 weeks to find her and convince her to play ball 😂

When I saw the kid's clothes I wondered why they were all dressed up in colour co-ordinated clothes for a seemingly casual photo taken at home after a school day. Makes sense that it wasn't accurate.

Where are these theories coming from though? We were told she’d had abdominal surgery and not available until April. I don’t understand the logistics! Not necessarily your post but where are people getting this view that something has happened, and why? Answers on a postcard please!

I was thinking the same. I still can't think of any planned surgery that would keep you in hospital for 13 days.

DH was in hospital for 2 weeks after surgery for mouth cancer.

I reckon she's had work done on her face and is waiting for the swelling and bruising to go down.

Must say that Charlotte's skirt looks odd where it meets Catherine's torso, like the natural fold of fabric was cut out. What's left is a weird looking corner of fabric.

I find it pretty much impossible to get a photo where my three similarly aged kids are all smiling and looking at the camera at the same time! I often snap half a dozen shots and then wish I could Merge them together to have one image where everyone is looking their best. If I had the photoshop skills I’d definitely use them!

I have been reading this thread off and on today and I was in the "it's real" camp. But lo and behold, the NBC Nightly News here in the States had the "possible manipulation" story in its newscast tonight and refused to show the actual photograph.

The plot thickens indeed.
