Are Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lili coming back home?

It would be nice to have them back and getting along with the rest of the family, what do people think? They'd have to apologise and try to move forward in a positive way. With Charles being unwell and elderly, and the Wales kids too young to serve as working royals, the Sussex's may be needed. Trump may win the election, which could have a negative impact on them and Archie will start school soon, a great time to relocate home?? Apparently Meghan is looking for PR agencies to help her improve her image. Would the Uk welcome them?

I'm no fan of theirs I must admit, especially the bullying of Kate. But IF they managed to work through their problems, they would provide useful pairs of royal hands.

I have to disagree that they would be a useful pair of hands. They don't exactly toe the line - they do what they want. Working royals do tend (and need) to do exactly as they are supposed to do, as planned. Plus, H&M unfortunately have a history of selling every interaction they have had with any person for profit (family or not) - which is completely unacceptable for working royals.

Plus I remember some assertions made by them that they were not safe in the UK. I don't know whether they meant mentally or physically - but they said that Meghan wanted to kill herself and that they escaped. If you escape from a terrible situation, why ever would you come back?

I also think they could be ummm re-habilitated in the eyes of the public - I mean the RF did it for Camilla after all.

Yep, remember all the "she will never be our queen".

The thing is Camilla didn't put a foot out of line or make any sort of ripples for 20 years or so. It was fairly quiet from her. That's why her image got rehabilitated. Plus, the older ones amongst us die, and younger ones are born/grow up. People in their mid 20s weren't even alive when it all happened, for example. But we were all here to witness the Sussex calamity as not much time has passed.

I can imagine them laying low for that long. That’s Prince Andrew issue too, he is 64 and doesn’t have 20 plus years to keep his head down and then try and reinvent himself.

Mylovelygreendress · 07/03/2024 20:06

Well if they are looking for my sort of rapprochement, it will need to be before William becomes King . After that, no chance !

goingdownfighting · 07/03/2024 20:06

@Nw22 they're the ones who need the family

Dewdilly · 07/03/2024 20:08

How is the U.K. their home? Only one of the four of them was born here.

TheBraves · 07/03/2024 20:08

I think the US is home now and I can’t blame them. They would have probably planned the kids schooling here a long time ago.

Never say never though, if Charles and Camilla can be liked by the British public, they can accept Harry and Meghan again. Much of the British public seem to go along with whatever they’re told do do by the papers, they seem thick and fickle.

In the US, a lot more people like them or are neutral about them. I can’t see them wanting to leave for Britain.

MadameBrigitte · 07/03/2024 20:08

Why would M need to apologise to K? Wouldn't it be the other way round?

RF is in a state of chaos since Brenda died. H&M are well away from all of this, the media would like them back due to the attention they get (whether good or bad!)

Two were born here. Harry and Archie.

Supersimkin2 · 07/03/2024 20:15

Are there any royals left who haven’t been PR rehabbed or need it? Possibly not enough - we don’t need more.

M&H would bolt ‘n’ bitch again. She’s got a book contract.

LadyMuckonpancakes · 07/03/2024 20:19

Their home is in the US . It’s all their kids have known . There is no way in hell either of them could come back as working Royals after the amount of damage they have done. Even if not working Royals how would either of them earn their crust ? None of the family apart from Eugenie would want anything to do with them anyway. They can’t be trusted. They’ve also made it clear they loathe and detest the family and the ‘Institution’. They’ve made their bed and that’s that. The best thing Harry can do is apply for citizenship.

Mylovelygreendress · 07/03/2024 20:22

But if he applies for citizenship, he has to give up his title so zero chance !

Sasqwatch · 07/03/2024 20:28

Let’s hope not.

pipsfromthefuture · 07/03/2024 20:28

I don't see why this would be an issue. Children are very resilient. Many children move around the world eveey day, and they are fine.

Vespanest · 07/03/2024 20:31

I think if they hadn’t of burnt all the bridges, financially it would’ve made sense as the children get older, the security costs are only going to rise as the children enter secondary age learning. Will they come back, I hope they have made enough financially to secure their own long term future that they do not need to come back. It would be extremely hard for Meghan. Its only been a few years and I don’t think it’s been as easy as Harry thought it would be to cut ties.

Salemforcuddles · 07/03/2024 20:32

Too much mistrust between William/kate and Harry/meghan, it would never work

BruFord · 07/03/2024 20:32

I think this post is related to an article in a certain tabloid about a judge reviewing H’s immigration application. Are you a journalist, OP?

Salemforcuddles · 07/03/2024 20:32

It's a shame, it would have been nice for the kids to grow up together

caringcarer · 07/03/2024 20:33

Tontostitis · 07/03/2024 19:09

I don't think it would ever work and not many want her back she'd be booed at every event.

Last time Meghan was in the UK she was booed and lots of people don't like the way she has tried to tarnish our RF. Harry is no more popular thanks to Spare and backing his wife up and accusing the RF of being racist because Archie wasn't given a title from birth because he wasn't a grandchild of a monarch at that point.

caringcarer · 07/03/2024 20:35

Portakalkedi · 07/03/2024 19:29

Can't imagine they would, the loss of face would be too much, and who in the family would want them or ever be able to trust them? They've made their bed.

I read in a newspaper several months ago that the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh would only talk about the weather to Harry and Meghan if they returned to the UK, because anything else they feared would be leaked to the press

caringcarer · 07/03/2024 20:38

donteatthedaisies0 · 07/03/2024 19:27

No because I don't believe she ever accepted the pecking of the royal family . Would she ever accept a lower status than Kate ?

Meghan would never curtsey to Catherine.
