Are Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lili coming back home?

It would be nice to have them back and getting along with the rest of the family, what do people think? They'd have to apologise and try to move forward in a positive way. With Charles being unwell and elderly, and the Wales kids too young to serve as working royals, the Sussex's may be needed. Trump may win the election, which could have a negative impact on them and Archie will start school soon, a great time to relocate home?? Apparently Meghan is looking for PR agencies to help her improve her image. Would the Uk welcome them?

@OliverTwisted Apparently you can't read either, we should sit together

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/03/2024 22:30

Oh hell, I've just realised it's another name change ... stupid of me not to have recognised the writing style

Yep!

Thank you!!!!

Honestly if you wanted to idle away some time, you ought to read some of the threads on here back in 2017. You'd be shocked.
So, no, the whole of the UK did not think she was a breath of fresh air back in 2017

It tended to be along the lines of....

There's something about her I don't like
As soon as I clapped eyes on her, my hackles rose
Why does she simper
Why does she grab Harry's arm like she does
You can tell she's an actress
I can guess why her first husband divorced her, she's annoying

You get the picture

Again I didn't say that!

You definitely seem to read things very wrong.

I said "mumsnet delete posts on every thread'.

I didn't say " mumsnet delete every post if its requested"

Your post was deleted because it broke talk guidelines, not just because it was reported, you do understand how mumsnet works right?

skullbabe · 08/03/2024 22:31

considered necessary to fake headlines on Oprah

An editorial decision to ask Oprah - no?

‘Mn deleting a post doesn't say I was wrong.

It means that people reported it.

Often, bullies on here report posts as another way to attack people.

I was too nice .’

Thats strange that you think thw UK teated them well, yer the word Harry and meghan used to describe leaving the UK was

"Escape"

Harry said "me and meghan talked for a long time about escaping, we started to look at countries abroad to live in"

I don't believe them. I think this was always Meghan's goal. Harry would never have had the balls to move elsewhere otherwise. They didn't get their own way, so they flounced. Plain as the nose on your face!

Yes of course.

But there's also the element of you have to report a post.

I'm usually too nice to report a post.

Whereas some people like to press the report button a lot. To exert their power that way.

I'm too nice with reporting people. I don't report people much

Kjones27 · 08/03/2024 22:34

Meghan was in the news today for attending some event. I just saw the headline briefly.

I'm going to have a look at it to see what
event she was at.

@PinotGrogio well done!! Back of the net for your thread on Black Mumsnetters.
All here in all it's glory. Racism, minimising, deflection, sarcasm, sniping etc. Many of the same contributors some with the obligatory name changes.

Quite right, skullbabe, and my understanding is that CBS who broadcast the interview were approached and refused to change anything - though interestingly, ITV in the UK did

I'm more interested, though, in why H&M were prepared to go along with such an obvious falsehood

skullbabe · 08/03/2024 22:42

Because Harry and Meghan do not have editorial control over Oprah

Runnerinthenight · 08/03/2024 22:44

Roussette · 08/03/2024 22:22

The UK was delighted with Meghan. We thought she was a breath of fresh air. We watched the Royal Wedding. We were delighted when she was pregnant with, and gave birth to Archie

Why then was there such vile threads and posts on MN then? Right back from when she became known as Harry's girlfriend.
The day after their engagement interview there was one entitled "I'm fucking sick of Harry and Meghan already". This was 2017

Go and look if you don't believe me, it was horrible. They hadn't done a thing wrong and if MN is supposed to be a slice of the UK, why were there countless threads on here like that?

I don't know, I didn't post regularly on MN then. I only know how my family, friends, colleagues, and the press reports. The hate wasn't an impression I had.

What does this mean? That the thread was set up to goad and race bait? And it’s talked about on other threads?

skullbabe · 08/03/2024 22:47

The horrible threads about Meghan were definitely there - they were so consistent that Mumsnet themselves noted it as a problem.

skullbabe · 08/03/2024 22:47

What does race baiting mean please?

Roussette · 08/03/2024 22:48

The hate was there from Day One.

Not everyone of course, as you have illustrated, but it was there

OliverTwisted · 08/03/2024 22:50

Ask the poster who generalises British and American citizens and made unfair racist statements about them

Roussette · 08/03/2024 22:50

skullbabe · 08/03/2024 22:47

And..for three months MNHQ stopped all threads on Meghan.

It was a very peaceful time

Kjones27 · 08/03/2024 22:50

For the record, when I said " the UK will never accept meghan". I was referring to the British press.

I meant that the British press will never accept her. The level of hostility by them to her was the reason why she left before. And why she won't come back

I do not think that everyone in the UK is racist.

skullbabe · 08/03/2024 22:51

I agree with Rousette - Day One. I’ve been lurking here since Kate had HG - I couldn’t believe how horrible women were being to her about it and that set in motion my interest in royal women and the media narratives around them.

Kjones27 · 08/03/2024 22:51

OliverTwisted · 08/03/2024 22:50

Ask the poster who generalises British and American citizens and made unfair racist statements about them

Im British myself @OliverTwisted .

I'm not sure how I can be racist against myself.
