Are Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lili coming back home?

NotMyPage · 07/03/2024 18:59

It would be nice to have them back and getting along with the rest of the family, what do people think? They'd have to apologise and try to move forward in a positive way. With Charles being unwell and elderly, and the Wales kids too young to serve as working royals, the Sussex's may be needed. Trump may win the election, which could have a negative impact on them and Archie will start school soon, a great time to relocate home?? Apparently Meghan is looking for PR agencies to help her improve her image. Would the Uk welcome them?

'Thats strange that you think thw UK teated them well, yer the word Harry and meghan used to describe leaving the UK was'"Escape"

Flounce. They flounced as their silly demands were not met.

I notice the person who said there was only one racist headline about meghan...

didn't come back or comment at all after I posted three racist articles about meghan

You haven't replied to the fact that you called a whole country racist

Kjones27 · 08/03/2024 22:16

AliceOlive · 08/03/2024 22:14

I do think it’s a matter of one finger pointing at others while you have four pointing back at yourself.

Someone being ganged up on doesn't make the gang right

And in fact it's not four against one. Some one came on here to defend me, if you remember.

Kjones27 · 08/03/2024 22:17

Salemforcuddles · 08/03/2024 22:15

Again not my fault that you seem to have a complete inability to read threads.

Read back. You'll see you are incorrect

And I did reply the first time I was asked.

Check facts you comment incorrectly yet again.

AlbertoDilemma · 08/03/2024 22:17

@Roussette Are you saying the average UK citizen is a racist, then?

Are you an average UK citizen?

Runnerinthenight · 08/03/2024 22:17

Kjones27 · 08/03/2024 20:47

I disagree.

I think mixed race is definitely part of the issue.

Are any of the other UK royal family married to anyone mixed race? No they are not.

The "acceptable" bride for a British prince is

"British, demure, white".

Cmon we all know that race was part of the issue.

Meghans personality doesn't seem that bad to me.

Right she's super confident, not submissive. Which can be grating to us more reserved Europeans.

But anyone that I've met from the States has been like that. That is their culture. To be big and confident

Crap.

AliceOlive · 08/03/2024 22:18

I don’t recall anyone saying there was only one. You hit the two that we see mentioned frequently. No one disagrees those articles are racist. there was also an awful comment on twitter by a journo who experienced consequences.

The other was something done to everyone marrying into the RF. Perhaps uncomfortable for Meghan but not pleasant for anyone.

I don’t know why I’m trying to write anything logical here in response. Clearly that’s not the point of this exercise.

Salemforcuddles · 08/03/2024 22:18

@Kjones27 it seems mn disagree with you

Crap.

What are your comments about all the racist articles about meghan that I posted on here.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

You posted a provocative statement, people called you out, that’s not ganging up on you, if you don’t like push back then how about don’t generalise that the UK don’t like foreigners and mixed race people? Just a thought.

skullbabe · 08/03/2024 22:20

And there you have it - a rehash thread.

MargaretThursday · 08/03/2024 22:20

Kjones27 · 08/03/2024 22:09

What age of people do you think are in nursing homes? Do you think That theyre all over 80..

You'd be incorrect. Look it up.

There are many late 70 year olds in care homes?

Have you ever volunteered in a nursing home? I have. There were many people there in their late 70s.

What an odd response. You said But everyone else i know who is late 70s, also have low mobility issues or are in care homes. I was pointing out that people that age aren't necessarily decrepit and immobile.

People of any adult age can be in a nursing home. I know someone in their early 30s who is, partially due to their mobility issues. Doesn't mean I assume everyone older than 30 has one foot in the grave and a Zimmer frame just because I know someone in that situation.

OliverTwisted · 08/03/2024 22:20

There’s no us and them, this isn’t a battlefield.

I’d have agreed with you about Meghan experiencing racism, but you don’t seem
sincere when you yourself go on to also make
sweeping generalisations and stereotypes, which are racist, xenophobic and ageist. You’ve characterised me most unkindly on this thread. Not the actions of a compassionate person.

Kjones27 · 08/03/2024 22:22

Salemforcuddles · 08/03/2024 22:18

@Kjones27 it seems mn disagree with you

Now who's generalising.

So you're saying the WHOLE of mumsnet disagree with you.

Roussette · 08/03/2024 22:22

The UK was delighted with Meghan. We thought she was a breath of fresh air. We watched the Royal Wedding. We were delighted when she was pregnant with, and gave birth to Archie

Why then was there such vile threads and posts on MN then? Right back from when she became known as Harry's girlfriend.
The day after their engagement interview there was one entitled "I'm fucking sick of Harry and Meghan already". This was 2017

Go and look if you don't believe me, it was horrible. They hadn't done a thing wrong and if MN is supposed to be a slice of the UK, why were there countless threads on here like that?

Salemforcuddles · 08/03/2024 22:23

The tone deaf, inaccurate inflammatory post has been deleted.

Mn deleting a post doesn't say I was wrong.

It means that people reported it.

Often, bullies on here report posts as another way to attack people.

I was too nice .

I didn't report anyone on this thread. I should have.

Meghan was definitely treated extremely badly in the UK.

*disclaimer - this is not saying that every human being in the UK is racist.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/03/2024 22:27

Here is yet another racist article about meghan markle that appeared . In the article it says that

We know what the appalling articles you linked said, @Kjones27

What some of us are waiting to hear is why it was considered necessary to fake headlines on Oprah - something I'd have thought those who profess to dislike lies would care about, but which I've never yet seen an answer to

Edited for typo

Again I didn't say that!

You definitely seem to read things very wrong.

I said "mumsnet delete posts on every thread'.

I didn't say " mumsnet delete every post if its requested"
