How bloody tragic, in so many ways. He appears to have shot himself.

God help the family. May he rest in peace ❤️

OrlandointheWilderness · 01/03/2024 15:03

Poor man to feel so desperate. And his poor family.

Geebray · 01/03/2024 15:04

Senior coroner Katy Skerrett said in the lead-up to his death, Mr Kingston had lunch with his parents and his father went out to walk the dogs.
When his father returned, Ms Skerrett told the inquest, Mr Kingston was no longer in the house.
"After approximately 30 minutes his mother went to look for him," Ms Skerrett said, then his father had to force entry on a locked outbuilding - as there was no reply from Mr Kingston.
His father then found his 45-year-old son "deceased with a catastrophic head injury" with a gun "present at the scene", Ms Skerrett added.

Just so awful.

The worst illness and hugely traumatic for all. Very sad.

Erm, maybe educate yourself a bit on mental health?

To do something like that, a person must be in so much mental pain.

Mental health usually doesn't discriminate. And what looks like "everything" from the outside isn't always what it seems.

Depression and mental health problems are not a choice and no more or less fixable than cancer. You clearly don’t understand it.

Reported

HemlockSoup · 01/03/2024 15:06

His poor dad finding him like that.

Sadly this is so often the way with men and suicide, those closest to them had no clue and are left completely blindsided.

Geebray · 01/03/2024 15:06

I had been hoping - if you can call it that - that maybe he'd had a stroke. Or a heart attack.

Their poor families. His poor wife.

You can 'have everything' and still be in a mental abyss.

What a spectacularly insensitive and ignorant comment.

Pardon? How do you know he had everything? Money can’t buy health, love or peace of mind.

Kedece · 01/03/2024 15:07

His poor Dad going in & finding him like that.

Tragic that he felt, whatever was happening in his life, that this was the solution. Yet again someone who seemed so happy on the outside clearly fighting some dreadful demons

Presumably, you're suggesting that wealthy people who 'have everything' can't be desperately unhappy or mentally unwell.

You are clearly quite stupid.

BeaRF75 · 01/03/2024 15:08

Can people please not use words like "stupid" or "selfish"? Suicide is very complex. We don't know anything about this gentleman's circumstances, health etc so it would be better to just say nothing at all.
