I'm baffled by all this speculation. The original announcement was that she'd be off until after Easter so I'm not sure why people are suddenly asking where she is. Suspect that the papers have a certain number of pages to fill with stories about her and they're not going to let the fact she's quietly recuperating somewhere stop them doing that.

This is SM fuelled nonsense. Where's the video? And when you look into this particular bit of crap - the initial post was a random black SUV & 1 other driving down Marylebone High Street which "looked official" going "in the direction" of the London Clinic.

After KP made the announcement about PsOW in Jan Twitter put 2 + 2 and got 129065. And this post appeared. The initial post wasn't by a reporter, AFAIK there has never been video released of this, and it was posted by a random user on SM.

KP issued a statement on Kate’s health because the Internet speculation has going into overdrive and they hoped to calm people down (although I think it’s not done anything of the sort)

The PR for this has been terrible. If KP has any sense it will issue another update before Good Friday and hopefully have a more specific date for her return because I think that there will be another surge in Internet speculation.

I've only just seen it but I'm not sure why people are conflating a piece of film taken in London with anything at Sandringham. Kate is hardly the only VIP who would get protection in the UK.

Yes, accept William ducking out of the memorial service at the last moment was odd and has certainly fuelled speculation about Kate (some funny, some completely bonkers) However, we are a month from Easter and nothing has changed in terms of the timescale for her return to public life. It isn't as if it is now November and she's not been seen.

Even in the lowly world of local government there is generous sick leave to allow for recovery from surgery and employees there aren't expected to issue statements or send videos of them working from bed to their bosses. In her place, with the extra pressure of having to look bloody perfect all the time, I'd be v low profile too.

Honestly, this Where is Kate drama has been crazy. The conspiracy theories are wild: coma, abuse, divorce, death,... Some people really need to touch grass.

Maybe it's just me but I feel like it got more traction outside of the UK. People who are not royal watchers don't realise that Kate and William often take long breaks every few months, hence why they're called lazy. In 2021 or 2022, Kate was a no-show for more than 60 days.

My theory is that either:

1. Kate had surgery, recovered, is totally fine but is using the illness as an excuse to not work because there's no way my sister, who I'm really close with, would be living it up on holiday while I'm having a medical crisis. That's probably why we haven't seen pictures of her family visiting her as well, she is fine

Or 2) She had surgery, is totally fine but has been dealing with a lot of stress these past few years and is suffering from a bit of mental exhaustion and is resting

I always wondered why Kate was so determined to go to same Uni as William and even followed him to same Gap year track. On purpose for sure. She swapped uni.
Considering she's often looked underweight since marrying him I wonder if she thinks it was worth it?
I mean I don't she would be quite the size she is if she wasn't a Royal.
But she chose that lifestyle and was more than up for dating him and marrying him.
So it's totally weird Considering she must have known all about it and had been followed for years. Why she wasn't able to just be more relaxed in her own body and mind.
For someone that knew what she was getting into for years. She never looks happy with bagging the Royal lifestyle.

You'd think someone that didn't just accidentally bump into William with no planning or mutual friends would be better at being who they want to be.
