To people saying that he pulled out at the last minute to comfort his cousin - few people in a normal job could pull out of work at the last minute because their cousin's husband died. I'm so sorry for Gabriella and his family but William could have attended the service and left immediately afterwards. It's not the reason and the media seem sure that it wasn't.

I completely agree. That’s why we are all here, the goss, the cess, the pit

News has broken:

What a handsome man, rest in peace.
I never realised how stunning Lady Gabriella is. Then again her mother Marina is still stunningly beautiful & her brother Freddie is also very handsome.

I have to say I am a complete republican, but I don’t think Wills is lazy. Public duties are only a fraction of the work they do. I’ve had some dealings with their office and they do a lot of campaigning and charity work. And remember his intervention on Gaza? I suspect he can’t be arsed with the public work and focuses on what he can change instead. I think he’s alright. Hopefully he will do something major to slim down/get rid of the RF when his turn comes.

Andrew is named after the ex kings uncle

But more because this uncle was Prince Philip's father.

Yes sorry I thought that was obvious

Source?

Are you asking where the newspapers got the story from?

Marina was her grandmother.

no clean shirts

Yeah and with Kate out of action there's been nobody to iron them either.

It's been said this wasn't the reason.

William is so compassionate he cheated on his pregnant wife!!

Who with and which pregnancy?

lpylu · 27/02/2024 18:55

Lady Gabriella Windsors husband died who was same age as William, I bet he is grief stricken.

Brightredtulips · 27/02/2024 18:56

A relative has died. Princess Alexandria's (i think) son in law, only in his 40s

Purplebunnie · 27/02/2024 18:57

Dornana · 27/02/2024 17:42

If it wasn't because of Kate's health I can't see any valid reason why he pulled out at the last minute unless it was a very urgent medical emergency with one of the children. If one of the children was unwell and had to be picked up from school they have a nanny and staff to do it.

I think there is something going on but who knows what!

So your kid falls over at school (gets beaten up 'cos everyone hates the RF) and is unconscious you would let the nanny go and deal with it

If (heaven forbid) this is the case if William didn't go you'd all be calling him the worst father on the planet - just can't win

Would you want the world to know you had the shits or something? Most people wouldn't! I think its something like that to be honest and they are trying to be polite and also they probably don't want to say yet another member of the family are ill.

I was thinking it's probably just a dodgy prawn and wondering what you'd say or do in those circumstances when the immodium had failed to work. Do you just wear incontinence pants and brown trousers and hope for the best?

Gabriella wasn’t there today.

She attended the funeral in Greece last year representing William.

One of Constantine’s sons read today in William’s place.

Thank you👍

Surely he could have done his bit at the service & then gone to see Gabriella. She would understand royal protocol & engagements.

He died on Sunday, not today.

It has been confirmed he did not miss today due to the death.

One of the children was unwell or injured enough to require a doctor/hospital trip. Kate is unable to move from her sick bed. William is close enough to home/school to take them. Optics would not be good if they are sitting in A&E with the nanny/school nurse whilst daddy is on what could be seen as a jolly.

‘a jolly’ ?

It was a Memorial Service FFS 🙄

I really hope we are seeing the end of the royals now. They can just quietly step aside please and let’s stop this royal nonsense.

Couldn’t agree more.

I'm not the superstitious type but the Windsors as a whole family havn't had a days luck since Queen Elizabeth died...

Andrew was loving William's absence. He had jolly well worked out, within a right royal nanosecond, that he was now the highest-up-the-line-of-succession left attending, and strutted his stuff at the head of the pack like a puffed up bloated walrus on legs.

😅

Coronateachingagain · 27/02/2024 19:09

Didnt he just? Sickening . With his awful ex wife gurning along.

There is a baffling obsession on this thread that Wills had diarrhoea.
