I just read an article in the DM about this. I really honestly couldn't believe he would do this. I just hope it isn't true. Just how could he. Privacy????.

P.s. Big Fan? Nope, just think they are annihilated in the press and on here whatever they do and I think that is unfair.

Maireas · 26/02/2024 16:45

Clawedfoot73 · 26/02/2024 16:18

I agree with you Roussette it’s so childish and fwiw I think what Spectre said was entirely reasonable.

There’s been lots of noise in the tabloids and on sm criticising Harry for potentially “betraying” details about his father’s illness when he did no such thing! That is the hysteria Spectre is referring to. A load of noise about absolutely naff all!

Criticism is not "hysteria".

Annihilated? No. Criticised, yes.

Mylovelygreendress · 26/02/2024 16:46

Is hysterical the new “frothing” ?

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 26/02/2024 16:48

His children are "top secret", but he'll talk about William's and his "fears" for them in Spare, and let ABC use them for his little "documentary".

He doesn't really have a sense of humour. He also doesn't sound like any hands on dad I've ever met.

Mylovelygreendress · 26/02/2024 16:52

Roussette · 26/02/2024 16:23

Absolutely @Clawedfoot73
He handled the interview really well and cut off Reeves with any probing about his father
Hysterical reporting at its finest. He didn't discuss his father's health at all ! I bet some MNers were annoyed about that as it would've filled a couple of threads lol

You see I don’t think he was being discreet rather he didn’t want to talk about his father as he has no more of a clue about KC’s illness than us on MN . I would imagine the RF are being extremely wary of sharing any personal information with H and/ or M given their history of blabbing .
Reports indicate that the father - son meeting was short so beyond asking “ how are you Dad? “ reply “ fine thank you”, I imagine the conversation focused on DGC .

Its ridiculous isn't it, his contrary principles. Blabbing relentlessly about the RF then saying that 🤣

It's what you choose to think, but thank you for saying 'i imagine' and 'i think' cos I think different to that 😂

Yes, he was probably given a cup of tea and a biscuit told nothing more than what we all know then was escorted off the premises. Not much material for Spare 2..

SheriffofRottingham · 26/02/2024 16:59

‘He doesn't really have a sense of humour.’

So the men in grey suits really did lie! They made it seem as though he did!

It’s obvious, right? That letter Omid described would be the nail-in-the-coffin for me on sharing anything beyond pleasantries with either of them. It’s disgusting to me.

Clawedfoot73 · 26/02/2024 17:08

Maireas · 26/02/2024 16:45

Criticism is not "hysteria".

One definition of hysteria is “over-excitement” about something; which I suggest is an appropriate term to describe over fifty articles in the press and four threads on here which mention Harry talking about his father’s illness when it didn’t actually happen.

themessygarden · 26/02/2024 17:12

The question about his dad was scheduled into the interview, he wasn't heading off any spontaneous question at all, he knew it was coming and agreed to it and the response was agreed to in advance, he knew the interviewer wasn't going to push the question any further. But his fathers health was addressed and Harry acquiesced to it being brought into the conversation.

Yes, while his answer was vague, it also gave him the opportunity to shoehorn in his to visit his father, it was PR for Harry and was all about optics.

He would have been annihilated, for sure, if he had given any information away but as others have said, it is likely he knows the bare minimum of details anyway.

Why did the US voice-over man boom that is was going to then?? He sounded very hysterical if we're talking about hysterics.

No. The term "hysteria" is not a synonym for "many" or "critical".

How do you know all this, apart from it being obvious the interviewer would ask a question about the king of GBs health after the shock announcement that he had cancer

Oh and i dont care for the royals i think they are all crap and ive never made out I'm a feminist or proponent of feminish either

If I "didn't care" about the royals, personally I would avoid this entire board.

Just because I don't care about royals doesn't mean I can't come here. On an hr plus commute and I'm bored and browsing random stuff if I come here so what? It's just a forum nothing serious. People are allowed the freedom to do as they wish within the bounds of the law so yeah ill go where I like on this forum and rad what I like and comment on what I decide to. You might not but that's you and what you do or I do doesn't make one better than the other

🙄

Spectre8 · 26/02/2024 17:31

SheriffofRottingham · 26/02/2024 16:24

But you don’t find it unpleasant when a poster jumps onto a thread to imply all the posters they don’t agree with are hysterical women getting into a tizz? Sexist as well as reductive

Well I don't like to assume it's all women posting although it's highly likely better not to make an assumption.

And we'll it's an entire thread banging on about how he will be and then he doesn't...so yeah I wonder what you all think now he hasn't when plenty were so adamant he would

I said it describes an over-reaction to something.

Well, if people are going to be controversial, court publicity and seek the limelight, lots of press articles are going to happen.
Just as they want.

‘doesn't make one better than the other’

Exactly, I agree with you. So you initially implying your pov is superior because you have disdain for the royals (I agree with you here too, Harry and Meghan are ‘crap’) is unfounded.

Rrrrrrright because presuming the majority on here, a mums parenting site, are women is problematic, not you tarring them all with the brush of hysteria 🙃

If you’d actually read the thread, you wouldn’t continue to make baseless sweeping generalisations. We haven’t posted as a singular mass, so you’re just assigning your made up opinions again to a whole thread. Seems a little goady.

Where did anyone say you couldn't come here? I can't see that. It's a public forum, nobody other than MN can stop you.

I just find it a tad bizarre that people would waste their time banging on about people they don't care about.... surely on the entire site there would be something to your taste?

AutumnCrow · 26/02/2024 18:04

I like the Food/Recipes board, although trigger warning: you will experience words like munch, chomp, nibble, hoover, bung, pop, and chuck in relation to eating and cooking.

FWR is excellent, and I can also recommend General Health for moments of excitement (e.g. corroded bumholes, currently).
