George's exams

Kate is not going with william to Singapore as George has important exams. What exams would a 10 year old be sitting in November?
I know nothing about private school systems so hoping someone here does.

@Samcro are you saying that raising the future King is not part of Kate's job?

or It could be that some posters see some one who lives a life paid for by the “people “ picks and chooses what jobs they will do.
nothing imo to do with Meghan who is not paid by the “people “
i actually like the royal family all ways have. Just think they need to realise how lucky they are and stop making excuses to not do their job

Agree. It's not Meghan or Kste, rather one person who is not paid for by us, doesn't represent us, doesn't affect us in any way but has a disproportionate amount of press negstive obsession with them, and someone who represents us wants to be part of the Royal Family ( a family that has a huge amounts of privilege and influence o er the establishment) and deserves to be scrutinised in return for that enormous privilege and power. To be fair, if I was them, I'd do the same. I'd do as little as I could get away with, and would do no housework whatsoever and probably minimal cooking unless I felt like it. The criticism really should be levelled at those who should be keeping them in check ( the press, Parliament, the authorities) but instead allow them to cover it up, while praising them for doing the bare minimum.

But Kate has been out and about quite a
lot recently (she was in Bracknell
on a solo engagement yesterday) and Earthshot is not an official engagement. It is William’s project. So I don’t think she is making excuses not to do her job in this case

Articles today that william is going to do more solo engagements as he thinks the focus on what Kate wears distracts from the issues.

I've not seen any articles saying William feels Kate is a distraction?

Could you post a link?

colourwheelofortune · 04/10/2023 19:50

Heaven alone knows how a thread about a mum who has opted to stay with her DS and support him through his exams, can descend into a Kate and a royal family bashing thread. Sounds to me like the same stuff I read (occasionally and before disgust at the vitriol towards Kate repels me) on Celebitchy.

I name Kate
because I was talking in general.

MissElinorDashwood · 04/10/2023 20:05

I thought this was a pretty decent thread. Some good discussions and opinions expressed all round. We’ve all seen the really toxic threads, this one doesn’t really compare, in my opinion. Maybe I missed some messages? There were a couple of harsh posts. I can’t remember what they were now.

From my perspective, just opening George up to speculation about his exams and schooling is uncomfortable.

He has a right to his privacy, as a child. I personally don’t really care about anything beyond that.

Howsimplywonderful · 04/10/2023 20:05

@colourwheelofortune

That Celebitchy is a horrible place. I was surprised l some posters admitted to enjoying it

Howsimplywonderful · 04/10/2023 20:09

@MissElinorDashwood

i prefer a truthful response to lies and intrigue myself 🤷‍♀️

I’m clearly a simple soul 😂

MissElinorDashwood · 04/10/2023 20:15

I do also recall quite a few cruel jibes about Harry. When the posters are complaining about Royal bashing etc I assume they are also referring to those comments. Right?

CathyorClaire · 04/10/2023 20:20

It's not very nice on a parenting website for posters to suggest that a mother supporting her child through their first important exams is lazy/lying/ workshy

I think if you have form for being considered lazy and workshy and you've done nothing to alleviate your rep it's not surprising you get called on it even if for once there may be a goodish reason to duck out.

royalwatchewr · 04/10/2023 20:28

I just looked on Celebitchy for the first time in months. I can't help but think that the people who write that blog and comment on it must be mentally ill.

It's really shocking. The absolute epitome of 'online hate'.

royalwatchewr · 04/10/2023 20:30

That's never been my impression of Kate. She was brought up to work hard and I get the impression she is a very conscientious and dedicated person.

No links? Anyone? As I thought, yet more BS.

Samcro · 04/10/2023 20:44

I always get the impression that William is proud of Kate (why wouldn’t he be)
so don’t believe he said that, unless I hear him say it

colourwheelofortune · 04/10/2023 20:45

@CathyorClaire I think if you have form for being considered lazy and workshy and you've done nothing to alleviate your rep it's not surprising you get called on it even if for once there may be a goodish reason to duck out.

So you think* *a woman who has had 3 children in 10 years and who is very hands on with them, doesn't deserve to have a much more part time job outside the home during those years, and should be working full time (as she is now), or didn't deserves 3 years of mat leave? When my kids were small I was very part time as are many mothers who want to see their kids grow and develop when they are small. You keep repeating this lazy Kate mantra, but keep ignoring the fact that she is also a busy mother. 7 years of part time work is pretty normal, before working far more hours. She is paid via her husbands Duchy so its not our money pays for her (very reasonable for a high profile woman) clothing.

Its pretty vile, and just as bad as the awful stuff you read about Meghan and Harry and the children. Just no reason for online hatred and lies like this. Saint meghan markle on Reddit equally shite. Why do people enjoy this stuff?

ManchesterLu · 04/10/2023 20:50

Tiredchicken · 02/10/2023 14:59

As if Eton are going to turn him down 😂

Exactly. Schools would fight over him no matter what grades he got in the exams, just for the kudos of educating the future king of England.

So depressing.

CathyorClaire · 04/10/2023 21:14

So you think a woman who has had 3 children in 10 years and who is very hands on with them

Norland nannies and 24/7 staff must ease the burden a little.

7 years of part time work is pretty normal, before working far more hours. She is paid via her husbands Duchy so its not our money pays for her (very reasonable for a high profile woman) clothing.

She had a very part time job on the nod from a mate and dictated the terms she'd work. She and Willy did f-all for years were eased into royal duties gradually with Willy only taking up full time royal 'work' some six years ago.

As an aside prior to that he was happy to let the evil Harold take up the slack on at least one occasion so he could slope off on a lad's holiday.

The duchies (and their income) escaped being absorbed into the Crown Estate by a historical anomaly. It's arguable whether her husband should be the sole beneficiary of the millions upon millions Cornwall alone bestows on its basically feudal lord.

Howsimplywonderful · 04/10/2023 21:20

Honestly, if you want your points to be taken seriously I’d drop the juvenile use of ‘Willy’ it just makes me scroll past rapidly

11+ exams? Selection exams for his senior school. Although…..he’s not going to be rejected it’s he.

Not a chance in hell he would be rejected.
