George's exams

everetting · 02/10/2023 14:52

Kate is not going with william to Singapore as George has important exams. What exams would a 10 year old be sitting in November?
I know nothing about private school systems so hoping someone here does.

Hopefully now posters have managed to satisfy themselves of her reason for staying they can move on to some more pressing issues 😀

Lol - I was secretly hoping she might be preggers again

pilates · 03/10/2023 22:27

Let’s think of another excuse to beat Catherine with a stick. Pathetic.

Totally agree. Leave the poor woman alone

pilates · 04/10/2023 06:19

I like the way both Catherine and Meghan appear to prioritise their children. That is not something to criticise imo but a positive.

upinaballoon · 04/10/2023 06:36

The real reason she's not going is because she's secretly having a raving affair with Roger Federer but ''SOURCES'' haven't told us yet.
(See thread at the time of Wimbledon, when she actually spoke to Federer and his wife looked in the other direction. Oooer.)

Roselilly36 · 04/10/2023 07:50

Kate seems to be subject to criticism in the press, as she seems reluctant to travel overseas, which is quite understandable given she has 3 young children.

I think George will follow his dad and attend Eton, very close to Windsor Castle, which makes it an obvious choice.

But not before we can extrapolate wildly that:

She's lying, she just can't be bothered, cos she's lazy.

She's lying because there are no exams just now (despite actual proof).

She's lying even though it's completely tabloid speculation so far.

William is jealous despite the fact they've been married since 2012 & Catherine's outfits have always been a major focus at any events they do together..

I'm sure I've missed a few, but it's great to speculate wildly even though wild speculation is really unfair and shouldn't be done to any other couples.

They're doing more individual events recently, and personally I think it's commendable how they do prioritise their children. IMO they have done a great job striking a balance between allowing some public coverage of their children and keeping vast majority of their lives private.

It's disappointing to note that a lot of the nastiness is coming from some of the very same posters who have complained about how Meghan is treated.

How about we all try to be more supportive of Kate and Meghan as mothers? Most of us (royals included ) are just trying to do our best and look after our families. It's worth bearing that in mind.

pilates · 04/10/2023 08:43

Good post and completely agree @royalwatchewr

Mylovelygreendress · 04/10/2023 08:44

Agree @MrsFinkelstein and @royalwatchewr

Howsimplywonderful · 04/10/2023 08:47

So agree, both Meghan and Catherine prioritise their kids.

Why don't you respond directly to the posts you're referring to? I hate it when posters do this. Specify which posts you think are nasty, address them. I don't recall you, @MrsFinkelstein @Mylovelygreendress or @pilates coming on to the various threads where Meghan is heavily criticised to tell posters off?

These generalised comments, 'the nastiest posters are the biggest Meghan supporters' need to stop. Respond to the posts and posters directly, address the actual posts.

everetting · 04/10/2023 12:50

Certain posters constantly say posters are being nasty to Kate without any evidence. It's a tiresome tactic.

Anyone who reads the thread will have noticed the nastiness towards Kate. And anyone who has read the Meghan out and about thread will notice some of the same people who are super supportive of Meghan are being unpleasant about Kate. It's really not necessary to name names.

FluffyCatBonzo · 04/10/2023 14:08

@Iwantcakeeveryday I think you are being naive in your request as you know that this is not how it works. People make comments with the generic use of you or people or whatever to avoid their comments being picked up by a poster or MN admin or of being reported.

Well , it really depends on the thread subject whether or not people will criticise Meghan ( or indeed anyone).
This was quite a nice thread ….< sigh>

Howsimplywonderful · 04/10/2023 14:36

@Mylovelygreendress

It still can be. Some lovely Catherine outfits on another thread.

I don't agree. I have noticed nasty comments about KM on this thread but they weren't names I recognised from the threads about MM.

everetting · 04/10/2023 15:44

Saying you don't agree with what someone does is not being nasty.
I have seen posters called nasty because they said they didn't like a dress Kate wore.
She is not a god beyond any criticism.

No I didn't, why don't you address the nastiness directly rather than making goady generalised comments. I don't think this thread has been nasty at all and I don't see regular posters supportive to Meghan being nasty either. At all. So you'll have to point it out.

Samcro · 04/10/2023 16:12

I thought mn hq were stamping down on goady posts.
I haven't seen any nasty posts on this thread, just people not always agreeing.

royalwatchewr · 04/10/2023 16:32

@Samcro Mrs Finkelstein has posted a good summary of the sort of thing I'm talking about in her post at 7:56 (see above).

It's not very nice on a parenting website for posters to suggest that a mother supporting her child through their first important exams is lazy/lying/ workshy/ irresponsible/only staying home because her husband is jealous/ wasting her time anyway because it doesn't matter if the child fails or not etc etc

Uh huh, I see that list. What I am saying is, you claim there is nastiness, not just criticism, and that it comes from supporters of Meghan who complain about how Meghan is treated, presumably here. I don't see any evidence of that so unless you can point to it, its just a dig at people who support Meghan with no justification.

wordler · 04/10/2023 18:11

I think it might be that there are some anti monarchists / republicans who really hate Will and Kate as representatives of the monarchy and have in the past slightly championed Harry and Meghan as the potential downfall of the monarchy. Not that they are Meghan fans in particular.

Samcro · 04/10/2023 19:08

or It could be that some posters see some one who lives a life paid for by the “people “ picks and chooses what jobs they will do.
nothing imo to do with Meghan who is not paid by the “people “
i actually like the royal family all ways have. Just think they need to realise how lucky they are and stop making excuses to not do their job
