George's exams

Kate is not going with william to Singapore as George has important exams. What exams would a 10 year old be sitting in November?
I know nothing about private school systems so hoping someone here does.

Zara's association with them began. Website says 16 years ago. She co-designed a part of their equestrian range.

Old news then.

So it is sports related ? , which would fit with her profile, Guess if you are in that circle it may be well known, but outside the circle it wouldn't be of interest to most people and certainly not headlines everywhere.

Yes. Founder James Musto was a prominent sailor (Olympic silver medal 1964, various medals in world championships)

Company started with sailing stuff and later branched out into equestrian and other outdoorsy stuff.

CathyorClaire · 06/10/2023 20:34

This Zara heavy shot of the 'Windsor Wine' snuggly duvet in an alternative black looks to me like it may involve a turret or two of castle.

Women's Marina Long Quilted Insulated Jacket | Musto

Can anyone confirm Zara's a shameless pisstaker the location?

EdithWeston · 06/10/2023 20:41

Looks more like a church tower to me (because it's just the one tower and no sign of the rest of a castle)

It's definitely not Windsor!!

(and I don't think Windsor Wine is a very nice colour)

CathyorClaire · 06/10/2023 20:51

There's some lower level building that corresponds with the Windsor castle footprint infuriatingly artfully hidden by foliage though.

On considered balance and subject business history I'm inclined to call it 🤓

Nice 🙄

CathyorClaire · 06/10/2023 21:17

Nice 🙄

Well it's not like there's not form.

Anyway.

Location location location?

My link shows the video of Zara at her home.

Serenster · 06/10/2023 21:43

That link just takes me to a picture of the coat against a white background…

Try this. I linked it earlier.

p.s. Scroll down for the video

Serenster · 06/10/2023 21:55

Thanks Roussette.

Is this the photo that CathyorClaire is suggesting might be Windsor?? Beacuse it’s 100% not! The fact that Zara is standing in a wheatfield after harvest is the first dead giveaway (none of those around Windsor castle 🤣 ) plus Windsor castle is absolutely massive and surrounded by lawns and the town of Windsor, not woods and agricultural fields…

George's exams
Roussette · 06/10/2023 22:23

It never was in Windsor

It was just a name for a maroon coat "Windsor Wine"

Her vid was always just from her home at Gatcombe

I guess William and Kate will always be around, won't they, so perhaps the fascination is less. Whereas Harry and Meghan are (and can be, as non working/non senior Royals) relatively unpredictable. But they (Harry and Meghan) are becoming less interesting by the day.

You’ve posted your second comment about Meghan and Harry being “less interesting by the day.”

For someone who isn’t interested in the Sussexes, you’re bound and determined to keep talking about them.

If you don’t like them, just say so. Stop beating around the bush. It’s embarrassing.

MrsFinkelstein · 06/10/2023 14:46

I suppose it all comes down to what you personally view as "charismatic".

IMO none of the RF really have it - especially not Harry & Meghan. Any interest I have in them is akin to car crash viewing - you can't help but look, but it's unforced error after unforced error since 2020.

I've tried listening to their speeches but Harry just looks uncomfortable all the time (just like his brother & father), Meghan is more polished but IMO its all "neo-inspirational word salad" rather than a succinct clear message.

Charisma has missed all of them really IMO.

Say you’ve never truly listened to either Harry OR Meghan without saying you’ve never truly listened to Harry OR Meghan.

This is what I mean though. In a thread asking about George's exams, people turn it into talking about Harry and meghan.

Harry and Meghan bore me. I'd never have clicked on this thread if I thought it were about them. What shocked me was the posters tying themselves in knots to make Kate's support for her child into some sort of negative. And to make Kate & William's cautious introduction of their children into the public eye into some sort of devious PR drive.

And a word to the wise: if you want to start a thread about whether or not royals are intellectually equipped to pass the exams for Eton... or about royals who cynically exploit their children, it's not unsurprising that Harry and Meghan will merit a mention.

@oaktreeswingis sooo bored by Harry and Meghan that she spends two looong paragraphs explaining why.

lol

StartupRepair · 06/10/2023 23:30

Meghan and Harry set up a whole brand called SussexRoyal until the Queen told them to stop.

secretpath · 07/10/2023 00:02

Actually, in one of my posts earlier (the same ones you're referencing in your post) I stated my interest in Harry and Meghan because of the way they are trying to create a Royal life in a non-Royal country, and the consequences of that. But it's also true that my interest is waning, possibly because they are not all that inherently interesting or talented or charismatic in themselves (imo).

I don't find Kate and William all that interesting and charismatic either, but I kind-of like that. Having boring, solid, unflighty HeadsOS (and soon to be HOS) has its benefits I think. They are however very attractive people and clearly highly popular which also has its benefits.

lol

But she doesn't. She simply says that they bore her. Goes on to talk about the Wales family, and in her last sentence mentions why H might be included when discussing Eton.

And if you really "laughed out loud" at that...... Well you're easily amused.

Say you’ve never truly listened to either Harry OR Meghan without saying you’ve never truly listened to Harry OR Meghan.

Why is it that you can't say something even mildly critical of H&M without it being inferred that you're either: stupid/ill-informed/ignorant of the "whole story"/biased?

I'm perfectly capable of listening to people and making judgments and decisions based on the content or lack thereof.

I simply have a different opinion than you do.

Samcro · 07/10/2023 09:55

why does every thread in this topic become about H&M , I mean they are so boring. it seems like the moment anything mildly critical of Kate is posted, the thread is derailed to become a H&M bash.
I must remember that derailing is now allowed.

Amusingly, if you look at the start of this thread Samcro, it’s actually you and everetting who are responsible for drawing attention to Harry in it.

A number of posters were saying that it\s not like the outcome of the exams matter for George, as it’s not like they would stop him being accepted into the school of his parents’ choice. A poster made a passing comment that given Eton accepted Harry, it’s unlikely they’d turn George down. Cue leaping to Harry’s defence and complaining about Harry being “bashed”…and he is now well and truly in the thread.

Serenster · 07/10/2023 10:30

(Obviously the bashing of a 10 year old whose academic ability we none of us have the faintest idea about was perfectly fine with everyone, however).
