Meghan for White House?

Apparently Joe Biden’s sister is backing Meghan for White House.

Any opinions? No wishy-washy ones such as “any US citizen is entitled to run” or “it’s her business” or “she’s better than x or y”.

It seems to me that even if you are a fan, how can you argue that she has political experience? And although a foreign-born spouse isn’t a barrier (eg Ivana), having a foreign title surely is a problem.

Meghan is a member of SAG though! That would be crossing the picket line, which I can’t imagine she’d do.

SAG sent her a message of support after the OW interview but Meghan has not publicly said one word of support about SAG!

No idea these days.

The only two who have attempted it are Ross Perot (estimated wealth $4.1bn) and Donald Trump (not known, estimated wealth usually around $2.5bn)

I can answer this. Billions. Most politicians who are successfully elected are self funded billionaires or lawyers with an "in"

AOC was able to run and win, IIRC, with grass roots small donations, but that is rare.

I wonder why she would need to? If she is a member of SAG, she is on strike. And she will support others who are also on strike. Why do we need a statement made from Meghan and yet not expect it from EVERY member of SAG?
