Unusual Clothing Fail - Camilla

I think Camilla is usually the best-dressed member of the Royal family, so I was surprised to see her wearing this today. Someone should have told her this was not a good idea.

It's not too bad at the front but I didn't like it from the back. She has no bum l

There are some amazing outfit choices from several people there…what’s the crown jumper about?

It doesn’t help that she matches the lady next to her but she looks fine. Who cares. If she’s comfy and happy it’s nothing to the rest of us.

Gyles Brandreth I think, always dresses like a look-at-me-twat

SuperGinger · 12/06/2023 16:32

Not her finest, a bit like oversized scrubs, she usually gets it right.

WakeMeUpWhenGoodOmensIsBack · 12/06/2023 16:33

MN S&B is obsessed with jumpsuits atm. I must admit that seeing that on Camilla reinforces my decision to give them a swerve.

But my real question is who is the woman next to Joanna Lumley and why is she dressed like she's just dropped in on her way to Sainsbury's? I'm not particularly having a go - she'd look fine for a walk to the shops/park, but that outfit wouldn't be many women's choice for hanging out with the Queen.

Jumper guy is Giles Brandreth, cuddly former Tory MP if such a thing is possible. He's been flaunting his taste for statement knitwear since the 1980s

Look at all the famous people in the background 😁.

It's awfully blue but I bet it's comfy.

Who are they?

urbanbuddha · 12/06/2023 16:34

It’s fine it’s just the angle of the photo that makes it look slightly odd. The colour in great.

I agree. I like her outfit better than the others there.

There's a reason for that. See if you can guess what it is.

Dreamstate · 12/06/2023 16:36

Not a fan of it, and her hairstyle always makes me think she is stuck in a timewarp

GeraltsBathtub · 12/06/2023 16:36

I don’t think it’s a fail at all. Props to her for branching out - jumpsuits shouldn’t just be for young people!

Fizzadora · 12/06/2023 16:36

@callingeveryone why on earth are you so angry about it?
Ffs do you go around in real life berating people for their sartorial choices and shouting at those who disagree with you.
You sound like a left wing, 'sexually confused' (that's a euphemism btw) person who shouts down anyone with a different opinion to theirs.

Anyway apart from thinking that the legs are a bit too wide around the bottom, I like it. In fact I wore something very similar in 1977😁

Freckledheckle · 12/06/2023 16:38

callingeveryone · 12/06/2023 16:15

Okay. So we are in the fifties when the Queen always looks wonderful whatever the reality.
This clothing fail is so obvious I can't believe so many of you are defending it.

Almost as if everyone has different opinions and finds different clothes/styles appealing isn't it. I love the colour and she looks nice, I'm not even a fan of her particularly but I don't see why women are judged so harshly for perfectly decent and appropriate clothes.

sashagabadon · 12/06/2023 16:38

I like it! Look at how everyone is literally staring at her legs! Except Giles brandreth and Julie dench 😁

heartsinvisiblefury · 12/06/2023 16:38

She looks lovely

Oriunda · 12/06/2023 16:39

I don't like Camilla. At all. However, I saw this pic and thought how good she looked in it.

DanceMonster · 12/06/2023 16:41

callingeveryone · 12/06/2023 16:20

Not annoyed. Just sighing at the sycophantic responses.

Not sycophantic, I couldn’t care less about Camilla. Still think she can wear whatever she wants though. Unless we’re back in the 50’s where women were judged by their attire?

Jennywren2000 · 12/06/2023 16:41

I love this outfit!

Crunched · 12/06/2023 16:42

Love how Joanna Lumley still looks elegant in flatties with a shopping bag.I agree the lady in trainers next to her, looks like she stumbled into this occasion accidentally!

Topseyt123 · 12/06/2023 16:45

It looks comfortable but not good. I don't actually like it.

LegendsBeyond · 12/06/2023 16:51

I really like it. We don’t all have to think the same as you. Get over it.

Itsaknotat · 12/06/2023 16:51

Woman next to Joanna Lumley is Sally Webster from Corrie.

I think the heat has got to you op. You got angry very quickly about literally nothing. Get in the shade with a wet flannel.

SirChenjins · 12/06/2023 16:51

Looks ok to me - hardly a fail. Sorry you didn’t get the responses you wanted, that must be frustrating for you and your big judgy pants.

MyOtherCarIsAPorsche · 12/06/2023 16:53

She looks lovely.

callingeveryone · 12/06/2023 16:53

I am smiling at all those calling me names because I dared to say I did not like what Camilla was wearing.

It looks awful. Clothes like this only look good on very tall and very willowy figures, anyone else looks a bit ridiculous.

She's 5'8" and not exactly fat. What should she wear? A twinset and pearls?

VivienneDelacroix · 12/06/2023 16:54

Aww it's a nice change and a lovely colour. Gyles Brandreth however- his whole personality is jumpers - such a pointless man. Im sure he'd live to see that a pp described him first and foremost as a former MP - more like mediodre, TV renta-mouth who was briefly an MP because the people of Chester took leave of their senses in the early 90s and voted in a D-list celebrity. He's like the mirror image Neil Hamilton - who was a mediocre MP who had a brief spell as a TV personality.
Anyway, I digress - good on Camilla. And like a PP I feel quite relieved that Joanna Lumley also battles the frizz.
