To be upset Prince Harry has made Diana all about her death?

Diana was a wonderful person in many ways. She had her faults like everyone, but mostly due to her dysfunctional childhood.

However she was a loving mother, a fearless campaigner for HIV and the other charities. A humanitarian who campaigned against land mines. None of these were glamorous, but she did it anyway.

She helped bring the monarchy into the 20 century. She was kind, warm and relatable as a person. She should be remembered as such.

Harry however has made it all about her horrendous death in a Paris tunnel. Endlessly merching the memory of her traumatic death, making it all about him and not his brothers pain, rehashing her death in his book, and now this latest stunt, which was likely designed to get his free security reinstated. If he knew what honour was he would be ashamed, but he won't be. All Diana is now is a mortally injured woman in a tunnel.

@Thinkbiglittleone Agree. The press also caused her death. Why aren't you angry at them, Op?

Backtoblack1 · 19/05/2023 20:24

He is very much stuck in that trauma. As anyone would be. Have some compassion.

polkadotdalmation · 19/05/2023 20:24

Well if people think he should carry on talking about her death and keep on racking up his millions on the back of it, who am I to say it's wrong?

I'm sorry for your loss, but you're not seeing my point. He is monetising her death, something that would never occur to a bereaved person normally.

you are being ridiculous

polkadotdalmation · 19/05/2023 20:25

Clearly people think it's a fine way to earn millions. I am obviously wrong, and he should monetise his mother memory by focusing on her death.

Katypyee · 19/05/2023 20:28

I think as it was his mum he gets to choose what he talks about with regards to her life and death, and it trumps your right to be offended.

polkadotdalmation · 19/05/2023 20:29

Obviously I'm wrong, so carry on milking her memory Harry.

Like I said, you really have no idea of the trauma he suffered.

Roundandnour · 19/05/2023 20:29

So it’s ok for media and those other writers to monetise from her death?

People write about the trauma of loosing their parent(s) all the time. Are you going to start threads about them as well?

You sound like a mates ex tbh. She bollocked him for still banging on about his mums death.

Grief hits people in different ways.

A part of therapy includes writing.

He's earned millions of dollars for this. I don't think he would have anything like the high profile he has if it wasn't for Diana's young death, and the sympathy of millions. He needs to let her rest in peace and grieve her in private.

@polkadotdalmation if my daughter wanted to make money and secure her future and that of my grandchildrens by talking about my death. I would fully support them. Have you read Angela's Ashes' the classic by Frank McCourt. Its about his miserable childhood.

Please answer me why do you read and listen to stuff about Harry and Meghan when they have such a negative impact on your feel8ng?

So you are jealous.

Anyway, if Harry has spoilt your memories of Diana then you are clearly paying him far too much attention. Try and be a bit more intelligent, eh, and switch off.

Did you even meet her, ever? Even once? She was his mother.

You sound absurd.

polkadotdalmation · 19/05/2023 20:32

Well I'm obviously wrong. Apparently it's totally normal to make money from the death of a parent. Who'd have thought?

Of course its fine to earn millions. Christ, if I was a Princess and a member of the Royal Family, I'd be making millions too.

I cant believe i need to explain this to you. He is not focusing on her death and nor is he making money out if it.
He is a Prince, a member of the Royal Family, he will naturally make a lot of money from this alone, he doesnt need his mothers death to make money.

As her son, Diana's death, had a significant impact on him. In fact it was one of the most significant parts of his life, along with serving in the military, marrying Meghan, having children etc.

Her death was also a significant moment of history, in which the whole world was part of and talks about today. So, naturally when he and William are asked questions by journalists, they always ask about Diana. They can choose to either answer the question or not. You don't get to decide if they talk about or not.

As for his book, or whatever. It would be pretty strange if he didn't mention. His mother, wouldn't it?

polkadotdalmation · 19/05/2023 20:37

I must be quite abnormal then. Even if my late mum was famous I wouldn't want to merch her memory.

I’m not going to “merch” my late mum’s memory either. She worked in the local Spar shop. Who wants to hear about that?

If you were famous, I 100% guarantee you would talk, write a book, do interviews, about how the death of your mum, (when you a child), affected you.

Without question.

polkadotdalmation · 19/05/2023 20:43

I wonder how much Harry's pay per view therapy session made?

His mum died in a car crash being chased by the press when he was 12. He was made to walk behind her coffin in full view of the public.

That is going to affect you.

William honours Diana..Harry monetises her, or claims sympathy because of her death, or manipulates people by using her name.
I prefer William's model.

Ooh so you ARE obsessed with money. You don't care about Diana. I suggest you get off the internet and go and find a rich man to suck dry.
