I have a few questions about this photo.

1. Everything I have read said it was supposed to be working Royals only on the balcony, but there is Camilla's grandchildren and page boys. Why?
2. Why this particular pose? I would have thought William and Kate would be in a more prominent position beside Charles and Camilla, instead off way off to the side. So what is the reasoning behind the positioning?

So two of Camilla's pageboys were wearing dark green ,not black .

It's a picture of mostly those involved in the ceremony, with a few close family included too. I see no issue or need to question it. Nor any need to read into it things that just aren't there. They may not all have been working royals, but most had had important roles in Westminster Abbey.

How on earth could Harry have been included when he had already left for the airport straight after the ceremony? That was his own choice, as far as we know. He can't be in two places at once, I assume.

Camilla had her sister there, not a double. There is just a good family likeness, as is so often the case with siblings. No big mystery there either.

It's Charles and Camilla's choice who to include.

I think some are more obsessed with the where is Harry why isn't he there.

But Camillas kids weren't there either.

Well the only Royals on the balcony are indeed “working Royals”. No Yorks for example. It never said “working royals and no one else”. The attendants were there for practical purposes because the trains were getting stuck apparently and as pp said it was reported that there is building work going on inside which added to the wardrobe difficulties. Apparently the decision was taken at the last minute. So no sinister conspiracy against Harry 😂

Bloody hell Op-have a good guess as to why the page boys & attendants were on the balcony even though they are not working royals🙄

One of Charles pageboys is one of Rose Cholmondeley's sons.

There other non working royals there apart from page boys and maids of honour.

Ah jesus, what nonsense. They have pages to help with robes. The pages include her grandchildren because they are the right she's. If he had more grandchildren appropriately aged, they would have been there. Stop Camilla bashing.

Harry left for the airport straight after the coronation and did not return to BP

Looks visually balanced to me. And nice for the pages who did a brilliant job to be so prominent

Actually, there are reports he did return there very briefly for logistical reasons (maybe to change cars), but he had left before they went up to the balcony and didn’t see or speak to any of his family 🤷‍♀️

Apparently he did - but only for 'logistical reasons' and just for half an hour. Didn't see anyone as they were busy with photographs and balcony appearances.

Surely its like a wedding, the pages boys and girls are next to the King and Queen, then the family after them? The official picture from inside the palace of the 'working royals' gives more info on everyone's position etc

If you watched the whole thing in video form you'd see the page boys step back and to the sides but Camilla clearly asks and gestures for them to gather around her and be at the front no matter their standing. I thought that was lively and informal. They earned their places there.

@DidyouNO I've just gone back to watch that, she looks like she's scared to move incase the Crown falls off her head.
I did think at the time it looked unorganised but if it was a last minute decision that sort of explains it.

The photos do look good with the boys either side of them.

Harry was never going to be on that balcony. Can you imagine? Where would he stand. Next to his father who he despises, his fathers’s wife who he accused of selling stories to the press or maybe his brother who he hasn’t talked to in months 🤣. He’d end up the other side of the balcony with the kids trying to look unsulky.

I just enjoyed the planes. Couldn’t care less about the rest of it. As long as I get to see horses and planes I’m happy.

I was also disappointed in the balcony photo, expecting he heir to the throne to be next to the King rather than non royal page boys with the PoW, Kate and their 3 children squashed together further along. The pageboys could have been behind the King, ready to lift his train after the photocall.

Charles and Camilla look idiotic in those massive crowns. A crown for a clown.

Yes I thought they looked ridiculous too, especially Camilla. I thought they were supposed to have been resized to fit?

Looking back at Queen Elizabeth's coronation, her crown fits much better.

I doubt they'll have been able to resize the metal and stones, the bit they'll have adjusted is the padding inside them.

Camillas was originally made for the Queen Mum.
