Recent photos, she's walking with friends and she's *so* slim but definitely looks just like my sister did when she was about 6/7months pregnant - she's wearing black but I'm sure I can see a bump that isn't her usual figure! Might just be the angle but it would explain why she didn't attend the Coronation and why Harry flew back so quickly. I appreciate he had Archie's birthday too but it would be another reason.

Not accurate. The award was for addressing racial injustice and mental health. I think a Kennedy mentioned the family in an interview, but it’s not the official reason they received it nor was it mentioned elsewhere that I’ve seen. Where did you see it was for that specifically?

That photo of Kate wasn't tagged but stamped so likely to be a fake or a tip off by a member of the public. Kate's face demonstrates that she definitely wasn't complicit. She was clearly out shopping in London and got hounded by them. She wasn't standing there in full mounty gear with Burt and Ernie and a new face half way up an isolated hill.

I don’t understand what you all are getting so get up about. Even Taylor Swift arranges pap shoots. You can’t be suggesting no one wants to photograph her. She does it to control what is released and when, and how she looks

how else would a photographer be able to snap a pic of Kim and north exiting a random gas station store on the outskirts of LA?

A Cartier watch needs a service every year or so.

They explain to you how they will take it all apart to clean it. If you wear the leather belt, you will have to change that every few years as it wears on. You leave the battery on after it's finished, otherwise it will flood the watch.

If MM sweats on her gold watch, it makes no difference because she will sweat on a watch that goes in for regular service.

Gosh, why do I have to explain all of this.

my watches are either Rolex or AP so are Automatic/self winding , not batteries like Cartier,
and quite expensive and chunky to wear for daily workouts the crown rubs on my wrist ,
The dealers have specifically said that gold can get damage by salt from sweat that’s all

A little grammatical lesson for you, as you have expressed an interested in literary criticism: “Patrolling like guard dogs” is a simile, that is, literary device used to make a basic comparison to emphasise a point. Other common examples include ‘as cool as a cucumber’ and ‘as white as a sheet’. Hope that helps, do let me know if you need any further assistance with this.

And I would suggest that a very general comment - addressed to no-one in particular - simply remarking that a visitor to this forum could be forgiven for speculating about the employment status of some especially prolific posters - does not constitute a breach of anything.

That’s likely what Meghan is doing here. It’s quite common, the oddball part is that she is aiming to get the attention during a time when the attention should be on her FIL, the one who welcomed her warmly into the family and walked her down the aisle. A few weeks from now no one would look at that hiking picture. Like someone said, it was highly valuable on coronation weekend. To her image as well as the person selling it.

Same with the lemon cake and comments about being authentic. You think she didn’t allow whomever to release those comments? She had to, or else she needs new friends that she can trusts. She’s trying to craft a new image and do repairs.

I think you should support her efforts rather than denying the possibility as if it’s some wretched move on her part.

I, for one, have not denied the possibilty that Meghan could have called the paps herself (you might look at my initial comment to see that I said she might as well have done it) - what I'm concerned with is calling Backgrid itself a pap agency. It's important to be accurate about things.

I however understand that this idea (that Backgrid itself is a pap agency) to be entrenched in many people's minds so I will leave it there.

I do have a question as this appears to be the second time you have mentioned this - I'm unclear why a parent making a birthday cake using items from their own home is anything to be critical about - why are you? The recipe is certainly not a new one for her - this has been repeated several times as her go to cake and also she is known to bake. (I personally don't think that any of it is actually true - no one actually knows how they celebrated Archie's birthday, no one actually confirmed that the reason Harry was returning was because of Archie's birthday - lots of presumtion there - and the descriptions of the cake Meghan apparently made are exactly the same descriptions for the cake she made several years prior for another event and the recipe to be included in the World Kitchen Book)

It is a sad state of affairs when a woman on a hike can draw attention away from a 250 million plus event with gold carriages, gowns and gloves and assorted world leaders. I’m sure if she’s really wanted to draw attention she could have splashed about in a bikini in the sea with Archie and Lili.

Most expensive watch I owned before I stopped wearing them was a Movado watch - I wore that thing everywhere 😂no matter the occasion. Just looked at Rolex and Cartier prices 😳- I would wear them to death if I ever had one.

It’s not the fact that she made the cake. It’s that she let someone tell the media about it to make herself look a certain way to the public.

I feel the same about all celebrities and their spouses courting public attention. When it helps them financially I see the point. Taylor Swift, it’s all about business and $ and growing her fan base. Maybe that’s what Meghan is working on but what she is selling is murky.

Sometimes it’s interesting or you can see the purpose, but in many cases it comes across as attention-seeking behavior that feels a little sad? Hilaria Baldwin and her instagram come to mind. (Not even remotely suggesting that MM is similarly unhinged.)

The murkiness is part of the issue. I think MM is trying to figure out what she wants to be and trying to stay relevant in the meantime. But given the timing and all of the other context, it comes across like an imagine popularity context with Harry’s family.
