How do you know she reads the Daily Mail? Have you told her how much you despise her?

GonnazgetgoingReturns never said she despised her friends mum.

South park re harry and meghan was particularly hard hitting because it nailed every single hypocrisy and fakery. The harry bit at the end was very sad. The william and kate wedding was just a naughty piss take.

I don"t adore Meghan. I don't adore anyone in the public eye but at least if i did, it would be positive. I just can't imagine spending time on a forum just to slag someone off. I don't like Jim Davidson so i avoid anything to do with him. I

This this this

I don't adore her.

I adore my DH and muds and their partners. That's it.

I can't imagine posting endlessly about someone I loathe to try and get others to see how loathsome she is
Ain't happening

I do not like Jim Davidson either. First time I've mentioned his name on SM ever. That's because I won't give him my valuable headspace,,!

Roussette · 28/04/2023 21:37

My DH and DCs !

A talent agency? What a waste of time when she has no talent.

😅 true. But it is all about money, not talent. Even for the "talent agency". They must be losing clients 😅 tight times a'comin' for everyone

Puzzledandpissedoff · 28/04/2023 21:40

If she actually gets any work it sounds like excellent news to me, and good luck to her
It's perhaps a pity she didn't carry on with the job anyway (wasn't it said the Queen suggested this?) but anyway it's got to be better than doing poor me interviews, and unlike Harry at least she has some skills other than being a member of the RF to help pay the bills

@MoChridhe

"Overshadowing the Coronation with her new hair !!"

😅

The M-Bashers want Meghan to disappear, to censor her, to stop her talking,. Every small success is like a red flag to a bull. It's why they are so invested in the she's a failure narrative, using those endless polls and South Park, to back it up. They can't bear that she is doing fine since she dumped the UK. But because they can't say that what they want is for her to be censored, they accuse her of destroying or overshadowing the monarchy.

But as I keep saying, if a so-called D list talentless actress from a show no-one had ever heard of can overshadow a 1000 year institution, perhaps the problem is not the D list actress, but perhaps the problem is that the institution is just too fragile to be fit for purpose.

LaMarschallin · 28/04/2023 21:47

I've hidden the Jim Davidson topic and at least thought I'd be safe from seeing mentions of him here.
You just can't get away from him.

Roussette · 28/04/2023 21:47

Yep how many times have posters gone on and on and on about how they'd never heard of her till she married Harry, Z list actress, done nothing in her life ever etc

Some power that woman has

Piers Morgan and Dan Wotton reckon she's destroyed the Monarchy!

Oh heck is there a topic?

Sorry. Didn't know. Just picked up on a poster's post

Oh noooo!
It was a joke.
It just seemed such a random blast from the distant past.
(I don't give Harry Worth much headspace either, but I quite liked him when I was a child.)

LaMarschallin · 28/04/2023 21:53

I could see why people might hide the RF topic as they're fed up of endless K&W and H&M discussions, but I doubt anyone gives Jim Davidson headspace from one year to the next.

True. She is still a D actress though 😀 and pretty shortsighted. It's all about the money - and Harry has been left dry so he needs to go along with it now.

There is such a culture abyss too - if she goes for another of her marketing runs with this new agency, she has no chance to step in the UK anytime soon without a lukewarm welcome - the majority of the UK people are just not into her reality - even if you don't care about the monarchy.

She is funny though, that fake smile in the kiss cam at the Lakers game says it all. And he knows...

Coxspurplepippin · 28/04/2023 22:21

Odd how if someone says something positive about a member of the RF it's 'fawning' yet if someone says something positive about Harry and Meghan it's 'supporting'.

There's certainly a lot of 'supporting' going on on this thread......

MamoruHisaishi · 29/04/2023 03:23

Good for her, I think it's a good thing if she and hopefully Harry finally move on from talking about the royal family. The only thing I would say about it is Hollywood is very competitive and cut throat. So far the only things that have generated massive publicity for Meghan is her attachment to the royal family. She would need to actually put out interesting content that people would want to watch or listen to. Her podcast was initially a success, but after a few episodes, dropped down the rankings for number of listeners pretty quickly. Her book was also the same. Initially attracted lots of interest to become a best seller but that didn't last long either. I think most people (outside of those who dislike her or like her) are indifferent towards her.

mackthepony · 29/04/2023 03:25

Oh god just who cares

Awful woman

Nightlystroll · 29/04/2023 03:31

Sudeko · 28/04/2023 10:05

She has been brilliant at choosing the right friends/partners to lift her profile at each stage of her rise to celebrity from humble beginnings.
Right from the beginning Trevor Engleson, Mischa Nonoo, Serena, Corey, Jessica M etc.

...Prince Harry

MamoruHisaishi · 29/04/2023 04:28

Frankly I think Meghan is too good for harry and he knows it. Not sure how she can stand being with him, her ex boyfriend the chef was way better looking (and probably way smarter) than harry too. The only things he's got going for him is that he was born a prince and his mother was diana, which he continues to milk for publicity.

Rainbowqueeen · 29/04/2023 04:29

I’m pleased for her. I’m sure there was a degree of nepotism in the decision but that’s true for a huge number of decisions in this world.

So far this year Meghan has done what most people have wanted since they left the royal family - kept quiet and found work not related to the RF. Whilst I still do not agree with their actions in how they left the RF I’m happy she is on the right track now. Let’s hope Harry joins her.

MrsMaxDeWinter · 29/04/2023 04:45

@Coronateachingagain

I think you will find that Meghan will not ever again take part in any Royal event. They have hit the compromise adopted my many couples with in-law problems: Harry will do stuff like the Coronation, funerals etc, and she will never again be with them in public.

If she comes to the UK it will be for private visits.

So the "majority of the UK people" need not worry about that lukewarm welcome. I would suggest they heat it up a tad so it's less lukewarm, and serve it to the remaining Royals, Camilla in particular could use it😄

4plusthehound · 29/04/2023 04:59

Sudeko · 28/04/2023 11:52

You've got to hand it to Meghan - her talent is to become a rich celebrity for the sake of becoming a rich celebrity with no actual, raw talent underpinning it and she will keep on rising ever upwards. She is smart enough to realize that she doesn't have anything special to give but since her efforts have paid off and she has an expensive lifestyle to maintain then why should she get bogged down by matters of conscience, self awareness and the rest?

why should she get bogged down by matters of conscience, self awareness and the rest?

Lucky for her she has you to do that for her.

skullbabe · 29/04/2023 05:50

The thing is Meghan has no reason to return to the UK and from my observation she has no interest in ever returning (though I may be wrong in this) this was apparent ever since she left after the funeral and solidified with the coronation. Her interests don’t lie here.

FrenchFancie · 29/04/2023 06:12

It depends what type of work she’s hoping to get, I suppose. If it’s more ‘oh poor me and my horrible experiences’ and not quite telling lies, but not quite telling the truth either, then I’ll be a bit miffed and try to avoid it.

if she’s essentially ‘going back to work after having had a break to raise kids’ then fair play - have to admit i wasn’t a fan of suits, but it wasn’t because of her. Maybe a different role would highlight her talents? Everyone deserves work they find meaningful, after all….
