The PR Whodunnit?

So what is this all about then?
Who did it and why?
And whoever's PR team is responsible needs tearing off a strip, it's going to backfire.
I know there was a thread about this earlier today but it was deleted due to questions over how genuine the OP was. As this story is everywhere at the moment I thought I would have a try myself and see how we go. Just a couple of preemptive points:

  1. My MN credentials are rock solid so don't anyone even go there😁
  2. Lets also keep some perspective, at the end of the day we are talking about a bunch of privileged and entitled millionaires who likely wouldn't even pee on us if we were on fire and that goes for both 'sides'.

🤞🤞🤞🤞

Meghan wrote to King Charles expressing concern about unconscious bias in the Royal Family - report

The letter was reportedly sent after the duchess said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that a senior royal had speculated about how dark her unborn son's skin would be.

These, amongst other insults are totally unacceptable and reflect badly on the 'authority' who posted them. The 'tone' as far as anyone can interpret 'tone' on here comes across as bitter and dare I say full of hatred. Just imagine said poster standing in front of those being insulted and shouting that to their face.

I don’t think you cross Meghan lightly

I would say the same about Kate also. And she has the backing of the royal PR machine behind her.

Sorry if I'm being thick, but why, on a thread about the PR machinations of Charles versus Meghan, has Kate's character been brought into discussions?

What has Charles and Meghan's correspondence got to do with how well Kate may or may not take to people crossing her? In order to defend one woman, you have to claim another is as bad or worse. Misogynistic and childish nonsense.

And you think a home wrecker who had an affair with a married man, which cruelly destroyed his poor wife, hangs out with abusers like JC and Piss, is not disgusting. Even her own exh says she's cruel and a "wrecker". Many more would - and do - disagree with you. (And that goes for Charles is too.)

Perhaps there is somebody who lives out there in California who also cheated on their first spouse and then on their partner but that is okay for you, I am guessing.

LadyMuckingabout · 25/04/2023 17:38

Going back to the letters leak, I read a most glowing report of Meghan’s hairdos in the Telegraph today. What was a bit Hmm though was that it concluded with saying her youthful look is due to a load of creams etc.

It really did read like an approved puff piece. I’m not saying an article should be critical - but the creams bit is obviously crap. No celebrity ever solely relies on creams !

His "poor wife", who had severe problems of her own, was hardly innocent. Had she not died so tragically she would doubtless have re-married, probably more than once, and wouldn't have had her "Saintly" status. (And probably her younger son would not have fallen for her in the guise of his wife.)

Camilla's first husband was a notorious philanderer, so take anything thing he says with a large dose of salt

Roussette · 25/04/2023 17:43

Well... the 'notorious philanderer' is invited to the Coronation so there we go!

Serenster · 25/04/2023 17:49

Which one? I presume Boris gets an invitation, for example. 🤣

Boris? Really? Surely not!

Andrew Parker Bowles is invited for sure!

And Andrew P-B got to go to the last coronation! The king is his son’s godfather so one assumes they got on in the old days as well as now.

polkadotdalmation · 25/04/2023 17:59

@michaelmacrae Same old same old. Deflect and divert. You forgot, it's not Camilla you divert to it's Andrew. Silly mistake. Andrew! Remember next time someone posts something about Meghan and Harry, you divert away from them. By. Mentioning. Andrew! A decades old affair is old hat now.

Is this leaden prose supposed to come across as intellectual?

ArcaneWireless · 25/04/2023 18:00

I hold no stock in claims of creams any more. ladymuckingabout

I have watched that many slebs flog face creams claiming miracles (when in reality half their face is now sewn neatly behind their ears) that folk say cream and my weary eyebrows play push ups with my wrinkles.

polkadotdalmation · 25/04/2023 18:03

Didn't Meghan also cast aside her bestie Jessica Mulroney? The woman who tried to do a pippa Middleton moment at the waste of money wedding? I suppose now meghans political aspirations are no longer in Canada but in the US, it makes sense to cultivate the Clinton's and the obamas. Although I gather Michelle has a good BS monitor too.

Monteshitshow?

Really now? It's a lovely Spanish name that means "little mountain".

Perhaps the poster just doesn't like any name that is "forrin", and so resorts to Anglicising it into a sneer. Because I can't think of any other reason to insult the name of an entire community simply because she loathes Meghan.

There are enough reasons not to like Harry or Meghan. Descending to this level of puerile insults is just pathetic.

It is not different to those who call Camilla "Cowmilla", or Kate" Kkkhate" or William "Bulliam".

It says a lot more about the individuals using these silly nicknames (while hugging themselves because they think it's so very clever) than it says about the persons, or communities, they are insulting.

Serenster · 25/04/2023 18:05

Souns like a personal attack there, Skullbabe. MNHQ have already posted on threads in this board warning posters off that, and deleting all the targeted personal attacks on that topic. But you do you…

There are almost 40 million residents of California - you will need to be clearer as to who you are speaking about, which partner they cheated on, with whom did they cheat, which partner and again with whom.

friends with Savile..

This is not something you can throw at Charles. Everybody, it seems was taken in by him - the big fancy funeral etc.
The truth came out very slowly in the weeks after his death. His grave stone was removed too, I seem to remember.
Unless you think he told Charles all about his evil deeds and Charles was O.K with that?

Charles had connections to another sex offender Peter Ball even after he was convicted. He was also very close to Mountbatten who is connected to sexual abuse of young boys. John Lydon tried to talk about JS in an interview in the 70s but it wasn't broadcast. JS rapes were known about amongst the establishment but he was protected throughout his life. It must have been someone powerdul.

I don't go on that site. I've seen those sort of names on Twitter though. They are not new to me. And just as bad about Meghan.

Are you sure - Charles was only about 4 years old, so A P-B couldn't have been much older?
