I saw this earlier and I might be a big romantic but it really touched me ! 🥹
It was very a very heartfelt and unneeded comment and for me shows that he's still wild about her after all this time they have been together.

Some people with the best nutritionists, stylists, make up artists and hairdressers would look bloody amazing.

But most people would still look ordinary.

Fergie was a good example (sorry Fergs). Although I did listen to a podcast recently with Fergie where she said people are always surprised by how pretty she is! William is also unfortunately looking very bald and horsey and like his uncle Edward.

The majority of normal people look like they have potato faces, or have uneven features, or just something no amount of money can ever turn into something ‘stunning’. To say The Princess was never pretty though and is only so now because of what wealth can buy her is deluded. She was very pretty at Uni, probably not by today’s standards with girls caked in make up with weird eyebrows and plumped up lips, but by 2002 standards she was very attractive (as was her MIL in the 70’s and 80’s but that style looks weird now)

The thing is that it doesn't matter if she is stunning and well turned out, it is how he sees her. My husband would say the same about me and I'm 70, could do with losing 10lbs, hate having my hair done, stopped wearing make up about ten years ago and most morning I look at the jar of cream by the bed and can't be bothered to open it but he still sees me as he did 40 years ago and that's what matters.

  • amazing how some on here seem to want to take william aside and reconfigure his views. If they had been by some scheduling mishap in the crowd, one wonders if some may have done a quick "oh no she's not".

It's clearly subjective. I genuinely don't think Kate is beautiful - I think the grooming, Botox/other work has made her look good - without it, she would still be attractive but not stunning.

For me, really beautiful women are: Dianna Agron, Kate Beckinsale, Emmy Rossum.

I actually think Princess Beatrice has more beautiful facial features than Kate, but really poor dress sense for a long time made it harder to see

Kate is beautiful, her cheekbones are more prominent because she's lost the puppy fat in her cheeks, the same happened to me. My nose looks slimmer and more aquiline than it did in my teens. I always hated my nose but woke up one day in my early 30s and realised I had a nice nose. I'm a similar age & feel fitter & better looking now than in my early 20's. I've also had a little bit of help (botox, dental work).

William is also growing into his baldness, I'm finding him rather dishy lately.

She has always had a great figure.

I am literally nowhere near in Kate's league looks wise, but have a similar build naturally (though I'm not as tall). When I look at photos of myself at graduation I had a similar thing facially going on - much chubbier cheeks and general roundness than even at thirty. Cheekbones and a long leanness started emerging in late 20s.

Not saying she hasn't had tweaks now

I think Fergie was pretty- still is imo. Maybe people didn't notice because of Diana's luminous looks

Beatrice started off exactly like Fergie but has managed to work on a lot of things for which Fergie was shot down and she looks nice now. I think Fergie was a bit lazy or not bothered about looking her absolute best.
