The royal family

She’s good enough to look after the corgis but apparently too embarrassing for the coronation (if you believe certain newspapers). Really, with all the goings on lately, she’s one of the least embarrassing people either royal or connected to the royals by marriage. Beatrice and Eugenie should have told them all to shove off years ago when she was banished.

But she spent christmas with the royal family, so not exactly banished?

FWIW I think she is a bit of fun, and knows perfectly well how to behave, she should have got an invite. Maybe she didn't want one?

🤣 Fergie?? she would give anything to be sitting alongside Andrew. I read she is having her very own tea party. Maybe she still has the costumes from her YouTube performance.

And yet more listings than Andrew's in Epstein's little black book of contact numbers, having her debts negotiated down and paid off by him, clinging limpet-like to ex's luxurious gaffs, accepting lavish remuneration for 'services rendered' to an alleged fraudster and gobbling up a £5M townhouse in shrouded financial circumstances might seem to indicate otherwise.

Yes the plan to introduce Andrew back into public life is in full swing

Isn't there a documentary about Andrew being televised on Channel 4 the same day as the coronation?

Depending on what's in the doco, any plan to introduce Andrew back into public life might need to be rethought.

I'm not in the UK so probably will have to wait a few days longer for the documentary.

Roussette · 20/04/2023 07:55

Yes, there is a documentary, it's a 2 parter called 'Andrew the Problem Prince'. Maitlis is on it discussing it along with Sam McAlister the Producer. It's about the chain of evens that led to the carcrash interview.
Well done Channel4 for providing something alternative to the wall to wall Coronation.
I don't think the public have the stomach for him coming back into public life. Because next year is the actual film 'Scoop' with well known actors.

burnoutbabe · 20/04/2023 08:46

She is on good morning Britain right now. Seems happy not to attend and happy for Charles and camilla and will enjoy celebrating with them privately later as a family.

cornfleurs · 20/04/2023 09:17

Well, I've just read that Lady Pamela Hicks (Earl Mountbatten's daughter & one of HMQ's bridesmaids) hasn't been invited, either - and isn't upset about it because she understands the aim to create a more inclusive/representative guest list. I don't think excluding Fergie was personal if plenty of others close to the RF (including family members like Lady Pamela) have not been invited.

Thanks for highlighting this 🙂

Hadn't heard of it but will defo watch.

Thanks for this

It gets better - I'm waiting for certain posters to pipe up that Meghan Andrew is trying to take the limelight from Charle's big day!

Oh.... No but..... Yes But 😂

Viviennemary · 20/04/2023 10:48

I am not mad keen on Fergie but I think she should have been invited to the coronation and given a seat at the back.

LadyEloise1 · 20/04/2023 15:45

I'm no fan of Fergie.
Waxing lyrical about Andrew frequently.
Nearly collapsing in a heap with the curtsy to her ex mother in law 🙄

Yes, but for years before that she was left out of everything. Apparently prince Phillip detested her.

She was on telly this morning saying "He's such a good man, a good kind man, I think the spotlight needs to come off him"

What a surprise

Literally nothing then that will derail her death grip on the gravy train.

Thanks, Roussette; I'm on a ship right now and hadn't seen that - definitely one to catch

And yes, of course Fergie would like "the spotlight to come off him" ... mustn't risk all those freebies must we? Hmm

It seems rude, can she not have Meghans seat ? Fergie has adopted the Queens corgis after the Queens death, she should absolutely be invited !

Andrew gave the Queen those puppies after she had decided to have no more, because she didn't want to outlive any more dogs.

Strikes me as the sort of thing that manipulative immature shit would do. Give her some cute puppies that she can't refuse then take them back after she died, all to emphasise his twatty specialness.

Sugarfree23 · 20/04/2023 22:15

@thecatsthecats I don't believe for a second that it wasn't discussed with HMQ first.
Yes she said no more puppies but that didn't include pandemic planning or loosing her DH. I can totally see why she changed her mind.
